🌍 About the Project

Hosted by Commune d’Annecy, this ESC project focuses on promoting solidarity, inclusion, and international cooperation through community-based actions. Volunteers will support educational, cultural, and civic initiatives that bring people together around shared values of empathy and unity.

🤝 Volunteer Tasks

Volunteers will contribute to several meaningful missions:
🌐 Support initiatives that raise awareness on international citizenship and solidarity.
📚 Provide and promote educational resources about global awareness in collaboration with local NGOs and cultural organisations.
🎨 Help organise workshops and activities for associations working in international solidarity.
🎄 Coordinate the “Shared Christmas” initiative.
🕊️ Assist with “Solidarity Month” preparations and events.
🌏 Support the implementation of European and international initiatives of the City of Annecy.

🏠 Accommodation, Food & Allowances

🏡 Volunteers are provided free accommodation, sharing a house with three other international volunteers.
💶 Monthly support includes:

• €224–248 pocket money (depending on the month)
• €400 for food allowance
  🚲 Each volunteer receives a bicycle for local transport.

🧩 Training & Learning Opportunities

📘 Free French language classes (in-person and online via EU Academy)
🚑 First-aid training and optional thematic workshops
🌍 A two-day training in Paris on international solidarity
💻 Online training on sustainable solidarity projects and NGO work
🤝 Participation in two national ESC seminars with volunteers from across France

👥 Participant Profile

This project is perfect for motivated young people who are:
✅ Passionate about international solidarity and active citizenship
✅ Good communicators and team players
✅ Open-minded, proactive, and adaptable
✅ Skilled in English or French (B1) and comfortable with digital tools (Office, social media, Canva, Mural, Mentimeter)
🚗 Holding a driving licence is an advantage but not mandatory
