About the Opportunity
Are you passionate about mental health, inclusion, and youth participation? The SIDECAR 2026: Participation for Inclusion project, coordinated by Asociación Cultural Youropía, offers a unique opportunity to volunteer for 11 monthsin the heart of Oviedo, Spain.
Through this long-term European Solidarity Corps project, you’ll join two inspiring organizations:
- Youropía – working with youth, especially those facing social obstacles, to promote participation, active citizenship, and creativity.
- Hierbabuena – supporting people with mental diversity and psychosocial challenges through cultural and social activities.
Together, you’ll contribute to breaking social barriers, fostering inclusion, and helping people regain confidence and community connection.

🧭 Ideal Participant Profile
🌍 Aged 18–30, resident in a Programme country
💬 High level of Spanish (essential for communicating with locals)
❤️ Empathetic, open-minded, and eager to learn
🧠 Interested in mental health, youth work, and inclusion
🎨 Flexible, proactive, and comfortable working in group settings
📄 Must submit CV + motivation letter to be considered
If you’re not based in Spain, you’ll need an accredited sending organization from your country.
🏠 Accommodation, Food & Support
Volunteers will live in a shared flat in Oviedo, with a private room and shared kitchen and bathroom. The apartment is within walking distance (15–20 minutes) of the main venues and the city center.
Each month, you’ll receive an allowance for food and pocket money, plus transport coverage when needed. You’ll also participate in on-arrival and mid-term trainings organized by the Spanish National Agency, and you’ll have access to Spanish language courses (online and local).
