About the Opportunity

Do you love working with children and believe in the power of play as a tool for learning and growth? Join the Tudás-Vár Nonprofit Kft. team in Sopron, Hungary, and help young children blossom in a creative, nurturing environment near the Austrian border!

This European Solidarity Corps (ESC) project offers an unforgettable 12-month experience in an English-speaking daycare center where you’ll support children aged 1.5 to 4 years old. You’ll share your culture, creativity, and language — helping kids grow, explore, and connect with the world around them.

🧭 Ideal Participant Profile

🌍 Aged 18–30, from any ESC participating country
❤️ Passionate about early childhood education
✨ Patient, calm, and empathetic toward young children
💬 Solid knowledge of English (basic Hungarian is a plus)
🎓 Education or work experience with children is appreciated but not required
🤝 Open-minded, enthusiastic, and ready to learn through experience

🏠 Accommodation, Food & Support

Volunteers will live in a 60m² furnished apartment shared by two people. It includes a kitchen, dining area, and bathroom — just a few minutes away from both the daycare and a nearby forest for peaceful relaxation.

Meals can be taken at the daycare, or volunteers can cook at home using their lunch and household allowance (covering breakfast, dinner, and essentials).
In addition, bikes, SIM cards, and pocket money are provided.

Volunteers also receive on-arrival and mid-term trainings by the Hungarian National Agency, plus access to language learning opportunities in English or Hungarian.
