🌟 About the Project

“Acting Local, Changing Global III” is a powerful volunteering initiative that connects young people from across Europe with local Red Cross communities throughout Portugal. 🇵🇹

Through this project, volunteers will work across four regions — Bragança, Braga, Sanguedo, and Guimarães —supporting diverse social initiatives that promote inclusion, solidarity, and community well-being.

You’ll engage directly with local residents, contribute to humanitarian activities, and help make a real difference where it’s most needed — all while growing personally, culturally, and socially. 🌍

🎯 Your Role & Main Tasks

• 🧓 Support isolated elderly people, migrants, and refugees
• 👧 Work with children and young people in day-care and educational activities
• 🏠 Assist families and vulnerable individuals through social shops and food distribution
• 🐾 Contribute to animal care and shelter support
• 🤝 Engage in inclusion and community development activities across regions
• 💡 Develop your own local or inter-delegation project based on your passion and skills

👥 Participant Profile

We welcome motivated and empathetic young people aged 18–30 who want to make a positive impact in society.

Ideal participants are:

• 💬 Open-minded, proactive, and flexible
• 🌍 Ready to work with people from diverse backgrounds
• 🧠 Willing to learn through experience and teamwork
• 💛 Interested in humanitarian, social, and educational fields
• 🤗 Especially encouraged to apply if facing economic, social, or geographical barriers

Previous volunteering experience is not required — motivation and an active attitude are what truly matter!
