🌍 About the project

Informagiovani ETS and Associazione I Girasoli Onlus invite volunteers to take part in the VEIL – Interculture in Confiscated Spaces project in Sicily. Volunteers will support activities at the Mandorleto house (House of Almonds), a space dedicated to sustainable community development. Tasks include maintaining garden and poultry areas, repairing fences and pathways, harvesting olives, and producing olive oil and natural skincare products.

The project also promotes intercultural learning by involving volunteers in community interactions with children, young people, and locals. Through this experience, participants will contribute to inclusion, environmental protection, and social regeneration of confiscated spaces.

🏡 Accommodation, food, transport

• Shared accommodation in a volunteer house (6-bed and 4-bed rooms).
• Meals prepared on-site, groceries purchased by the host.
• Vegetarian, allergy, and other dietary needs considered.
• Wi-Fi connection available.

🎯 Participant profile

• Aged 18–30, residing in eligible countries.
• Adaptable, proactive, and motivated to engage in outdoor and community activities.
• Comfortable with agricultural tasks and intercultural exchange.
• Must bring appropriate clothing and personal essentials.
• Total duration of EU volunteering (including this project) must not exceed 12 months.
