🧪 Responsibilities / tasks
Volunteers will play a vital role in welcoming students back to school through creative and social activities. Tasks include:
– Supporting the “Welcome and Empathy Week” by leading team-building and group bonding games for students to start the academic year with positive energy
– Planning and facilitating engaging workshops based on personal interests and talents — such as music sessions, arts and crafts, storytelling, language exchanges, environmental awareness, or basic digital skills
– Assisting teachers and school staff in creating a friendly, inclusive, and motivating school environment
– Proposing and implementing small creative projects that enhance the visual and social atmosphere of the school (murals, decorations, interactive boards, etc.)
– Collaborating with local partner organizations like H2Ave, Humanitave, and the senior center to foster intergenerational learning and strengthen community ties

💰 Compensation
– Volunteers will receive a daily allowance of approximately 10€ to cover both pocket money and food, paid at the beginning of the activity
– Breakfast and lunch provided on weekdays at the school canteen
– Accommodation in a fully equipped house near the school: 4 shared double rooms and a sofa bed, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, and living room
– Volunteers receive a school card for discounted snacks at the canteen
– Public transport costs will be reimbursed according to ESC distance band rules (with original receipts)
