The European External Action Service (EEAS) offers traineeship opportunities in EU Delegations around the world. Whether you’re a student or a recent graduate, this is a chance to gain valuable experience in EU foreign policy, diplomatic relations, and international cooperation.

๐ Traineeship Duration: 1 to 6 months (3 months for civil servant trainees)

๐งโ๐ผ Who Can Apply?
Traineeships are offered under four pillars:
- Funded Traineeship:
- ๐ Recent graduates (Bachelorโs degree or higher)
- Less than one year of professional experience
- Unfunded Compulsory Student Traineeship:
- ๐งโ๐ Current students (3rdโ5th year)
- Studying in the host country
- Traineeship for Students of National Administration Schools
- Traineeship for Civil Servant Traineesย of a Member State administration
๐ฃ๏ธ Language & Eligibility Requirements:
- Speak theย working language of the EU Delegation
- Open toย EU citizens,ย candidate country nationalsย (with concluded accession negotiations), andย nationals of the host countryย (depending on the pillar)
- ๐ซ Not available to those whoโve completed >6 weeks of internship or work at any EU institution
