Deadline

"Unlocking Learning: Neuroeducation in Youth Work" is an Erasmus+ training course in Lithuania, from 9 to 17 December 2026, that teaches youth workers how to help young people learn more easily, be more impacted by what they learn and put that information into practice in the digital age, using neuroeducation and non-formal techniques. It is a funded Erasmus+ KA153 project for 30 youth workers with at least 6 months of experience, and applications close on 7 November 2026. At Youth Works Hub, we reviewed the infopack and the live application form so you know exactly what you are signing up for.

The course takes place at La Villa Royale in Markutiลกkฤ—s, around 30 km from Vilnius city centre and surrounded by nature. Selected participants agree to contribute to local follow-up activities after the mobility.

What Neuroeducation Brings to Youth Work

The project aims to develop youth workers' competencies in neuroeducation. The goal is to empower them to create more engaging, structured and impactful activities tailored to the diverse learning styles and needs of the groups of young people they work with.

The programme is part of the Erasmus+ Mobility of Youth Workers action. It improves the competences of 30 youth workers so that they can help young people learn more easily, be more impacted by what they learn and actually put that information into practice, using neuroeducation and non-formal techniques. Our guide to non-formal education explains how this kind of learning works.

Who Can Apply

The infopack lists the profile of youth workers the organisers aim to select. They are looking for participants who:

โณ Have at least 6 months of experience in youth work.

๐ŸŽ‚ Are above 18 years old.

๐Ÿง  Are motivated to learn more about neuroeducation and its role in revolutionising how young people learn and grow.

๐Ÿ•˜ Feel determined to get involved in the whole duration of the project.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Are willing to contribute to follow-up activities and dissemination.

๐Ÿค Are motivated to share experiences and learnings.

Newcomers to Erasmus+ are welcomed. The call is shown for participants from Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania and Spain, and the application form asks you to choose one of these countries. Our guide to the role of youth workers explains how youth workers fit into Erasmus+ projects.

Before, During and After the Training

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Before: check the conditions for travelling to Lithuania and returning to your country, and stay in touch with your national coordinator and the coordinating organisation in Lithuania. Purchase and keep all travel tickets only after the signing of the learning agreement, consultation, and approval from the coordinating organisation. Communicate with your national team and prepare for the intercultural evenings and other activities.

๐Ÿš€ During: actively participate in all workshops, sessions and planned activities, and be open, respectful and ready to share your ideas and experiences.

๐Ÿ“ฃ After: take part in the dissemination of the project results through social media posts, videos, campaigns or other activities. Contribute to follow-up activities by implementing the learned methods with local young people, and send all required travel documents to Tavo Europa for reimbursement.

The Venue: La Villa Royale in Markutiลกkฤ—s

The venue is La Villa Royale, at Markutiลกkiลณ kelias 28, Markutiลกkiลณ kaimas, Trakai district, Lithuania. It is located around 30 km from Vilnius city centre and surrounded by nature, which the infopack calls the perfect place to learn, connect and spend the week together.

How to Reach the Venue

๐Ÿš† From Vilnius: once you arrive in Vilnius, make your way to Vilnius Train Station and take a train to Trakai. You might arrive at the train station, and if you arrive at the bus station, it is right next to the train station: just cross the street.

๐Ÿ“ Where to get off: get off at Trakai station, the final stop. Make sure not to get off at Senieji Trakai.

๐ŸšŒ If no train suits you: check the buses. The bus station is just around the corner from the train station, and the infopack refers to the train and bus schedules.

๐Ÿš— In Trakai: once you arrive, the organisers can pick you up and take you to the venue.

Costs and Reimbursement

According to Youth Works Hub's review of the infopack, all costs related to the training course, including food, accommodation and other practicalities, are fully covered. Tavo Europa is not responsible for any fees you may need to pay to your sending organisation. Our guide to what Erasmus+ covers breaks down these costs.

Travel costs are reimbursed up to a specified limit, and any expenses above this limit are covered by participants. The infopack does not state the limit. Our guide to travel reimbursement and distance bands explains how Erasmus+ calculates such limits.

๐Ÿ“„ Documents: to qualify for reimbursement, participants provide all necessary travel documentation, including original tickets, invoices and proof of payment, for example bank payment receipts.

โœ… Approval first: each participant buys their own tickets, with support from their sending organisation and after obtaining approval from the coordinating organisation. Before purchasing tickets, you must submit potential routes and costs for approval.

๐Ÿ“ Conditions: reimbursement is contingent upon completing local follow-up activities and filling out all required forms.

๐Ÿšซ Not reimbursed: lost or missing tickets, and travel agency fees. Book your tickets directly.

๐Ÿš† Land travel only: travel for this project must be by land, such as by bus, train or car. All relevant tickets and travel documents must be kept and submitted for reimbursement. Our guide to green travel in Erasmus+ explains the programme rules for sustainable travel.

Ticket Deadlines and Extra Days

Tickets must be purchased by 23 November 2026, according to the infopack. In the application form you also confirm that, upon confirmation of your participation, you will buy your travel tickets within five days while having your travel plan approved by the hosting organisation.

If you wish to arrive earlier or leave later and still receive a travel refund, you may arrive up to two days before or leave up to two days after the official dates. You are responsible for your own expenses during these extra days.
