22 Fully Funded ESC Placements in Italy, Uganda, Argentina and 10 More Countries, Closing by 15 October 2026

Posted 1 October 2026

Youth Works Hub went through all 22 of these European Solidarity Corps listings in full, and every one is a fully funded volunteering placement with an application deadline between 3 and 15 October 2026. The placements are spread across 13 countries, from Spain, Italy, Greece and Portugal to Serbia, Georgia, Uganda, Senegal and Argentina, so this batch reaches well beyond Europe. Nine of them close on 11 October, and the earliest, a school garden in Gijón, Spain, closes on 3 October. If you are wondering how long an ESC project lasts, this batch covers almost the whole range: around two months in Petrinja, Sorgun and Gaziantep, and a full year in Dadia, Belgrade and Dakar.

A few placements stand out. In Dadia, Greece, volunteers help restore the National Park of Dadia–Lefkimi–Soufli, monitor vultures and other birds of prey in Thrace and take part in forest restoration after the 2023 wildfire. At Cascina Croce Piaggi in the Oltrepò Pavese hills, Italy, volunteers farm, make honey and preserves and share daily life with about 10 autistic adults. In Buenos Aires, Servicio Jesuita a Migrantes (SJM Argentina) is looking for a communications volunteer to support migrants and refugees, and the listing asks applicants to be 18 to 35 and to have completed the compulsory training for Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. In Gaziantep, Türkiye, volunteers can use a professional TV studio and radio stations, and in Annecy, France, the volunteer runs workshops on European citizenship in schools for the City of Annecy. In Kraków, the Cultural Club Łokietek has one place left alongside five other volunteers, and in Petrinja, Croatia, Association IKS has two placements supporting communities hit by the earthquake. In the Tserovani settlement in Georgia, two roles support internally displaced people, one in communication and fundraising and one in entrepreneurship training.

Read the conditions on each listing carefully. Eight placements in Serbia, Uganda and Georgia set limits on previous ESC, EVS or EU volunteering experience: ADRA Serbia in Belgrade does not accept candidates with any previous experience, Merhamet Sandžak in Novi Pazar and the two Georgian roles accept up to three months, and the three placements in Kampala up to five months, while Dakar and Buenos Aires cap your total time in EU volunteering at 12 months. Kraków can only host EU citizens, Cascina Croce Piaggi asks for citizens or residents of an EU country who speak intermediate Italian, and the Buenos Aires role asks for Spanish at a minimum level of B1. The eligible country lists range from 10 countries for the shorter Petrinja placement to 38 for Sorgun, so check which countries can take part in the ESC and the list on the listing itself before you apply.

Funding

Every placement in this batch runs under the European Solidarity Corps, which funds accommodation, food or a food allowance, pocket money, insurance and travel. According to Youth Works Hub's review of the 22 listings, these are the amounts and extras the hosts state:

🇫🇷 Annecy: €644 a month in pocket money and food allowance, a bike at the volunteer's disposal and a house shared among four volunteers.

If you want to work outdoors, the birds of prey project in Dadia, the LIPU oasis between Lucca, Pisa and Viareggio and the farm community at Cascina Croce Piaggi all involve hands-on work in nature, often in remote places. For communication and media, there are roles in Patras, Novi Pazar, Tserovani, Buenos Aires, Sorgun and Gaziantep. Education and inclusion run through the Gijón school garden, the two school and special needs placements in Kampala, the citizenship workshops in Annecy and the two Petrinja placements, while Belgrade, Novi Pazar and Dakar offer project and office roles in social and humanitarian organisations. Placements in Serbia, Georgia, Uganda, Senegal, Argentina and Türkiye can involve a visa or residence permit depending on your nationality, so read up on visas and residence permits for the ESC early. Before you write a single line, check whether the host limits previous EU volunteering experience, because ten placements in this batch do.

Time is short for most of these fully funded European Solidarity Corps placements. Gijón closes on 3 October and Patras on 4 October, Sorgun, the Red Cross in Portugal and Kraków follow on 5 October, and the Red Cross and Kraków both make clear that early applications count. The LIPU oasis closes on 8 October, Buenos Aires and Cascina Croce Piaggi on 10 October, the nine placements in Serbia, Uganda, Georgia and Senegal on 11 October, Annecy on 12 October, the two Petrinja placements on 13 October, and Gaziantep and Dadia on 15 October. Check the eligible country list on each listing, prepare a motivation letter for your ESC application, then open the link and apply.
