Every one of these 17 European Solidarity Corps listings was read in full by the Youth Works Hub team, and each is a fully funded volunteering placement in Africa or Georgia. Eight placements are in Ghana, three in Uganda, two in Kenya, two in Georgia, one in Tanzania and one in Senegal, and 16 of them close on 26 October 2026, while the MdM placement in Dakar has no application deadline. Thirteen placements last 38 weeks within the period 2 November 2026 to 30 November 2027, the two placements in Zugdidi, Georgia, last 26 weeks, the Dakar placement 28 weeks, and the Tanzania mission 59 days, from 31 January to 31 March 2027. Eight of the listings ask applicants to be 18 to 35 and to have completed the compulsory training for ESC humanitarian aid volunteering.
Several placements stand out. In Tanzania, the STORM C project is putting together a 59-day mission for a team of 15 volunteers, building a nursery for 50 children in Tumbilini and supporting a seed bank that replants trees to strengthen the ecosystem around Gongo village, the only ESC volunteering team in this batch. Kampala School for the Physically Handicapped, founded in 1968 by parents of children with cerebral palsy, is looking for volunteers to support its 100 pupils. In Kongo, in Ghana's Upper East region, KoCDA has one role supporting women who produce shea butter and weave baskets and cloth, and another bringing French to school children in a region that borders Burkina Faso and Togo. In Zugdidi, Association Merkuri is looking for a qualified youth worker to lead programmes for young people aged 8 to 25. In Dakar, MdM needs a volunteer for monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning, with a โฌ568 monthly per diem. In northern Ghana, a climate role supports farming communities facing drought and flooding, and in Kenya's Kano Plains, volunteers support early childhood education at a centre whose kindergarten serves around 90 children affected by poverty, orphanhood or HIV/AIDS.
Read each profile carefully, because the requirements vary a lot. The monitoring and evaluation role in Tamale is meant for someone with prior M&E experience, the youth work role in Zugdidi asks for a recognised qualification and at least two years of experience managing youth programmes, the rural school role in Uganda looks for a university degree in education, social work or community development, and the Dakar placement lists French as essential. Others set a lower bar: the vocational skills role in Tamale requires no specific diploma, and the Tanzania mission expects no previous experience. Several listings also state that your total time in EU volunteering programmes, including the new placement, cannot exceed 12 months.
Funding
Every placement in this batch runs under the European Solidarity Corps, which funds accommodation, food or a food allowance, pocket money, insurance and travel. According to Youth Works Hub's review of the 17 listings, this is how the listings describe the arrangements:
๐ธ๐ณ Dakar: a guest house, a driver for emergencies, a โฌ568 monthly per diem for food and other expenses, and the return flight, vaccinations, visas and pre-departure training costs in Madrid paid by MdM.
๐ฌ๐ญ Tamale: accommodation close to the office arranged by GDCA, with utilities and kitchen facilities, and transport for official duties.
๐ฌ๐ญ Kongo: a private lockable room with its own bathroom at the NDAHA Guesthouse and a shared kitchen.
๐บ๐ฌ Kampala: Villa Mamu in Mengo, with wifi, warm showers and a self-catering kitchen.
๐ฐ๐ช Kano Plains: a shared apartment or volunteer house, with lunch provided at the work sites for the early childhood placement.

๐ฌ๐ช Zugdidi: a host family, a monthly subsistence allowance, local transport reimbursed, and visa fees, insurance and a round-trip ticket covered by the sending organisation.
One placement has no application deadline, and the other 16 all close on 26 October.

17. ๐บ๐ฌ ESC Volunteering in Uganda ๐ป ICT Training and Digital Skills for Local Organisations ๐ฑ
๐ Deadline: 26 October 2026
The volunteer runs trainings for UPA staff on digital skills, communication and social media marketing, manages and upgrades UPA's digital platforms, and builds capacity through ICT training for UPA staff and local partners such as schools and community-based organisations, in partnership with Mondo. The placement lasts 38 weeks within the period 2 November 2026 to 30 November 2027. Volunteers stay at Villa Mamu in Mengo, Kampala, with wifi, warm showers, a self-catering kitchen and pets, spend some days with a host family near Kikooba School, and get around mainly by boda-boda. Training under the BRIDGE Project includes skills development workshops, digital literacy and participation in UN Women Summits. A background in digital technology, communication or marketing is welcome, and you do not need to be a qualified IT specialist, but basic IT skills are required and fluency in English is mandatory.
If you want to work in schools, the ICT classroom and the French role in Kongo, the rural community school in Uganda, the school for children with physical disabilities in Kampala and the early childhood centre in Ahero all involve working with pupils or teachers. Digital roles cover Tamale, Kampala and the Kano Plains, while the financial literacy role in Tamale and the artisan cooperatives in Kongo focus on women's economic independence. Climate work runs through northern Ghana and Zugdidi, and the MEL and MEAL roles in Tamale and Dakar suit people with a background in monitoring and evaluation. Daily life can be very different from home, from hand-washing clothes in Kenya to a camp with outdoor showers in Tanzania, so read about culture shock and homesickness abroad and check the visa and residence permit rules for your nationality early. Check the profile on each listing, because some ask for degrees or years of experience, while the Tanzania mission expects no previous experience at all.
The timing is simple: 16 of these fully funded European Solidarity Corps placements close on 26 October 2026, and the MdM role in Dakar has no application deadline. Fifteen placements run within a period that starts on 2 November 2026, the Dakar placement within a period starting on 15 November, and the Tanzania team mission on 31 January 2027, so there is still time to prepare a strong application. Check the eligible countries and conditions on each listing, open the link and apply. Find more fully funded volunteering placements like these, explained in plain language, on Youth Works Hub.
