Erasmus+ funded internships are the most practical way to get real European work experience while your mobility grant covers the cost of living there, and this batch collects fifteen of them across nine countries. Eight placements stand out. The three InspectOS roles in Lisbon are the strongest technical offer in this batch: a full stack internship shipping Next.js interfaces and JSON-LD structured data, a data science role where the listing plainly states you own a workstream rather than assist someone else, and a digital marketing track you choose with the team. The EU Research and Development Agency in Vienna is unusual because it covers health insurance and transport costs alongside your grant. The NEXA Development placement in La Ravoire pays โฌ700 a month on top of a possible Erasmus+ grant, and its sister role in Florence pays from โฌ300 a month for customer service and sales in tourism. Hellenic Youth Participation in Athens offers something no private company can: a six month view of how Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps projects are actually managed from the inside. Chez Max, a French bistro trading at the foot of Dublin Castle since 2005, pays tips weekly and feeds its staff. And Sneferu in Porto puts you next to a master ceramist with over twenty years of experience, working porcelain up to 1300ยฐC with kilns, 3D printers and a laser engraver in the same studio.
Be clear about the money before you apply. Ten of these fifteen placements are unpaid and designed to run on an Erasmus+ traineeship grant, which is exactly how the scheme is built: the European Commission funds the mobility, the host provides the learning. Two pay a monthly amount and allow the grant to sit on top. The rest offer benefits in kind such as housing discounts, staff meals, covered insurance or tips. That is not a catch, it is the model, but it does mean your first step is your university's international office rather than the application form. Check what Erasmus+ actually covers so you know what to expect, and get your Europass CV into shape before you write to any of these hosts, because most of them will ask for it in the first email.
Funding
Erasmus+ traineeships are funded through your home university's mobility programme, not by the host company. According to the European Commission, an Erasmus+ traineeship abroad runs from a minimum of two months up to twelve, and the grant is paid as a monthly contribution towards travel and living costs in the destination country. Host organisations sign your Learning Agreement and provide supervision. In this batch, InspectOS in Lisbon states explicitly that it signs the Learning Agreement, the Vienna agency adds health insurance and transport, HOC Living in Antwerp offers a 10 to 15% housing discount, Chez Max in Dublin adds weekly tips and staff food, and the two NEXA Development roles pay a wage that stacks with your grant. Deadlines cluster tightly: one is already open on a rolling basis, three close within the next five days, six close on 30 September, four on 31 October and one on 30 November.

Porcelain, slip cast moulds and a laser engraver in the same studio. Sneferu, a luxury home fragrance and dรฉcor brand in Porto's Bonfim district, is taking a ceramics intern to work alongside a master ceramist with over twenty years of experience. You would handle porcelain and stoneware from preparation to final firing at 1300ยฐC, learn in house glaze formulation and surface finishing, operate kilns, 3D printers and laser engraving machines, and prototype new designs. Three to six months, 30 hours a week, flexible start. Unpaid and intended for Erasmus+ funded students, EU citizens or those legally permitted to work in Portugal.
Nine countries, fifteen hosts, and a genuine spread of professional fields: that is what makes this batch worth working through slowly rather than skimming. Portugal carries the largest share with four placements, three of them at InspectOS in Lisbon and one in a Porto ceramics atelier. Greece follows with three roles at Hellenic Youth Participation in Athens, covering project management, educational design and social media. Spain has two, Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Ireland and Italy one each. If you study computer science or data, Lisbon is the obvious first read. If your background is communications or marketing, there are four separate routes here across Spain, Portugal and Greece. The calendar is the part people get wrong. One placement is rolling and effectively open now, the Animafest role in Palafolls closes on 21 September with a start date one week later, HOC Living closes on 25 September, and then seven listings all close on 30 September. That single date carries almost half the batch, including every InspectOS role and both NEXA Development placements. After that the pressure drops: four Athens and Dublin roles run to 31 October, and the Porto ceramics placement stays open until 30 November.
