๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ช Hospitality and Community Intern ๐Ÿก Erasmus+ Internship at HOC Living in Antwerp, Belgium ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ (+ Housing discount)

Posted 19 September 2026

Deadline

25 Sep

HOC Living is hiring a daily operations intern for its co-living houses in Antwerp, starting 1 October 2026, with applications closing on 25 September 2026. At Youth Works Hub, we checked the company's own site alongside the listing so you know how many houses you would actually be covering, what the housing discount means and where the visa limit sits.

The job title says hospitality, but the work is closer to running a small hotel group's back office while also being the person who makes the Friday dinner happen.

The Company and Its Houses

HOC, also written House of Co, runs modern co-living in Antwerp under the line "more than home". Its own site lists four properties in the city.

๐Ÿ  DAMCO on Dambruggestraat, from โ‚ฌ650 per month.

๐Ÿ˜๏ธ Dodoens on Dodoensstraat, from โ‚ฌ915 per month.

๐ŸŒณ The Garden House on Walenstraat, from โ‚ฌ895 per month.

๐Ÿก La Maison du Gard on Halenstraat, from โ‚ฌ500 per month.

๐Ÿ’ก All rooms are advertised as all inclusive: furnished, with internet and utilities, weekly cleaning and technical support, community events, and flexible contracts starting at three months.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ The site states that hundreds of residents have already moved in, with testimonials from residents of several countries.

Those four addresses are the estate you would be coordinating across, which is why logistics sits at the top of the task list.

Logistics: the Backbone of the Role

๐Ÿงน Coordinating cleaning schedules across the houses.

๐Ÿ”‘ Check in planning for new residents.

๐Ÿ”ง Handling minor repair requests.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Tracking household supply needs and assisting with placing orders.

Events: the Visible Half

๐ŸŽ‰ Planning, decorating and executing monthly community events, including dinners, workshops and trips.

๐Ÿ’ก Brainstorming fresh event ideas to keep the community vibrant.

๐Ÿค Attending every event yourself, alongside three to five other interns.

The listing frames this plainly: the point of the events is turning strangers into friends, which is the product a co-living company actually sells.

Tenant Relations

๐Ÿ“ฃ Supporting house managers with daily tenant communication.

๐Ÿ“ข Announcing events to residents.

๐Ÿ“ Collecting feedback from the people living in the houses.

What the Internship Gives Back

๐Ÿš€ Full ownership to lead and run your own projects.

๐Ÿงญ Direct mentorship with weekly feedback moments.

๐ŸŽช Attendance at every event, from dinners to city explorations.

๐Ÿซถ A startup culture the company describes as built on friendship, networking and real responsibility.

Duration, Hours and Start

๐Ÿ“… The start date is 1 October 2026 and it is flexible.

โณ The duration is a minimum of three months, ideally six.

๐Ÿ•˜ The commitment is full time at 40 hours per week.

โš ๏ธ You need to be based in Antwerp, or willing to live in one of the company's own properties, for at least three months.

Pay and the Housing Discount

๐Ÿ’ธ The placement is unpaid and runs under the Erasmus+ traineeship framework, so the funding comes from your own mobility grant.

๐Ÿท๏ธ The perk is a potential 10 to 15 percent discount on housing, subject to availability.

๐Ÿงฎ Applied to the published rates, that discount is worth roughly โ‚ฌ50 to โ‚ฌ135 a month depending on which house you take, which is real money but does not turn an unpaid placement into a funded one.

According to Youth Works Hub's review of both the listing and the company's price list, the discount is the part worth negotiating early, because availability is the condition attached to it.

Who Fits the Role

โšก Energetic, hands on, friendly and strong in planning.

๐ŸŒ Comfortable with diverse backgrounds and fluent in English, with Dutch or French as a plus.

๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ Flexible with working hours, because events do not happen between nine and five.

๐Ÿ“ Based in Antwerp or willing to move into a company property for at least three months.

The Visa Condition, Read Carefully

๐Ÿ›‚ The company can host international candidates and will provide the necessary documentation, including a signed Learning Agreement and an invitation letter.

โ›” It does not provide visa sponsorship.

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ If you are not an EU or EEA resident, the listing invites you to ask whether a maximum three month internship can be arranged instead.

That is an unusually specific opening, and it is the difference between a hard no and a conversation, but the three month cap is explicit.

How to Apply

Applications go by email with a CV and a cover letter. There is no form and no portal. Since the listing was published twice in one week under two company names, quote the role title and the location in your subject line so your application lands against the right vacancy.
