👶 ESC Volunteering with Children in Kindergarten in Genova, Italy!
🏫 Activity Description: Join Mignanego Cooperative Society Onlus, a non-profit cooperative in Genova, Italy, and make a difference in the lives of children aged 3 months to 3 years in a kindergarten setting. Your activities will include reading workshops, self-expression and creativity activities, and library events for young children and families (either online or at the library when possible). Additionally, you’ll support the cooperative’s communication efforts and organize community events.
🏡 Accommodation, Food, and Transport: You’ll reside in Genova in a shared apartment with double/triple rooms. You’ll receive 5 euros per day as pocket money and either a food allowance or food provided. Travel expenses will be reimbursed based on European Commission guidelines.
📚 Training During the Activity: You’ll have the opportunity to participate in training sessions offered by the Italian National Agency, including On Arrival Training, Mid-Term Evaluation, and Final Evaluation. You’ll also engage in training organized by the P.E.CO. association, along with other volunteers from different Hosting Organizations in Genoa. Specific training related to your target group will be provided by the Hosting Organization.
🙋 Participant Profile: You should be available for the entire project duration from September 2023 to February 2024. The ideal volunteer is flexible, helpful, interested in social issues, and eager to learn. You should be willing to work with small children and be active on social networks. Patience, reliability, good listening skills, and a strong motivation to participate in the project are essential qualities.
