🌟 “A Step Towards a Fair Future” in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, with Caritas Sofia!
🌆 Activity Description: Immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Plovdiv, the oldest livable city in the world, while making a positive impact on the community. As part of Caritas Sofia, you will work with refugees and provide home care services. Your role will encompass social work and mediation, child development and education, fostering interaction with the host society, and promoting civic participation. You’ll also support at-risk children and their families in the Kuklen municipality through the Community Support Center.
🏡 Accommodation, Food, and Transport: You’ll have single-room accommodation in a dormitory or apartment, with all related costs covered. You’ll receive 350 euros per month for pocket money and food expenses. Additionally, you’ll be provided with a Bulgarian mobile SIM card and a card for city transport.
📚 Training During the Activity: You’ll gain practical training while working with one of Bulgaria’s largest NGOs, Caritas Sofia. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn the Bulgarian language with professional teachers in Plovdiv.
👫 Participant Profile: To join this project, you should be aged 18-30 and a citizen of one of the program countries. You should be outgoing, friendly, and eager to experience a different culture. Organizational skills, effective communication, and a willingness to learn are important. An adaptable approach, including flexibility with working hours, is valued.
