Fully funded ESC volunteering closing 16 August: 18 European Solidarity Corps placements across 16 countries are in their final hours, and the range runs from a care centre in Kampala to a youth centre in Finland. Every one is fully funded, and there is a real spread of causes here. You could be helping children with special needs in Uganda, training displaced youth and women to start businesses in Georgia, running the social media of a humanitarian NGO in Serbia, working behind the scenes at an analog arts festival in Romania, or supporting alternative culture at a cooperative cafรฉ in Pamplona. There is a strong run of communication and content-creation roles, a cluster of youth-centre placements across Latvia, Slovenia, Belgium and Finland, and meaningful social work with displaced and vulnerable communities. If you have been meaning to apply, 16 August is the day the window shuts on these particular 18.
Whatever pulls you, this batch has an angle. Drawn to social impact? There are placements with children with disabilities, displaced people, and vulnerable families. Creative? There are photography, video, social-media and festival roles. Into youth work? There are youth centres and mobility projects across half a dozen countries. Some placements are just a few months, others a full year, and a couple centre on a specific season or event. Most welcome applicants from across Europe and its neighbours, but a few list a specific set of countries or are reserved for residents of one, so read the eligibility line on each before you apply, because with a same-day deadline you do not want to waste time on one you cannot join.
Here is what fully funded means across all of them: your travel is reimbursed up to a distance-based grant, and your accommodation, food, local transport, insurance, language support and a mentor are all provided, with monthly pocket money set by the host country. You are not paying to volunteer. To take part you need to be aged 18 to 30, legally resident in an eligible country, and registered on the ESC Portal. If any of that is new, our full guide is at youthworkshub.org/esc. But read it quickly, because every placement below closes on 16 August 2026.

Eighteen fully funded ESC placements, sixteen countries, and a single shared deadline. If you scrolled this far, one already stands out, whether it is the care work with children with special needs in Uganda, the entrepreneurship and communication roles supporting displaced communities in Georgia, the media and storytelling placements in Serbia and Sweden, or the youth-centre and cultural roles dotted across Europe from Ljubljana to Pamplona. This is a batch with real depth in communication and social impact, and it is just as open to first-time volunteers as to people who have done this before. The two things that shape your shortlist are duration and eligibility: placements range from a few months to a full year, and while most welcome applicants from across Europe and its neighbours, a few list a specific set of countries or are open only to residents of one.
There is nothing soft about this deadline. Every placement above closes on 16 August 2026, so the only real move is to act now: pick the one that fits, open its link, check the exact eligibility and get your application in before the day ends. If you are unsure whether ESC volunteering is right for you or how the funding and ESC Portal registration work, read our complete guide first at youthworkshub.org/esc, then apply. And if you would rather never miss a same-day deadline like this again, join our broadcast channel through the link in our bio, where every new batch lands with time to spare.
