Description

You will engage youngsters in meaningful dialogue to broaden their horizons and help them practice English. You’ll also act as a cultural ambassador, sharing your unique heritage and language with the community. Behind the scenes, you will ensure the center remains a safe, clean, and professional environment through administrative support and facility maintenance. Finally, you’ll drive outreach by managing social media and developing high-quality promotional materials to keep the community engaged. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

You will be accommodated in an apartment with a single bed room or share a two single bed room and shared kitchen and bathroom. You will receive a monthly pocket money and depending on your location also a lump sump for covering your travel costs. In ESC programs also the insurance is covered and we are also taking care of your monthly ticket for local transportation.

Training during the activity

You will be part of the ESC training cycle: 1. predeparture training organised by your sending organisation or National agency in your country, 2. on-arrival traning and 3. mid-term evaluation organised by Slovenian National Agency in Slovenia.

Participant profile

We are looking for a volunteer who is deeply motivated to work with young people through non-formal education and intercultural learning. You should possess strong educational and social skills, allowing you to connect effectively with diverse target groups. Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills are essential for this role. We value a proactive attitude; you should feel confident approaching youngsters, motivating them, and developing your own creative projects. As a vital part of our team, you must be open-minded, empathetic, and enthusiastic about learning new skills across various fields. Adaptability is key, as you will handle a wide range of tasks during busy working days. Bonus: We are especially interested in candidates with a passion for wellbeing activities, such as yoga, pilates, or somatic practices.
