Mosaic through Differences is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in Dob, Domลพale, Slovenia, from 13 to 19 November 2026, hosted by Center za mlade Domลพale (Youth Centre Domลพale). This call is for young people from Greece aged 18-30, plus one group leader who can be older. There is no fixed deadline, so apply as soon as possible. At Youth Works Hub, we read the call and the full infopack, and this guide brings every detail together.

What Is Mosaic through Differences?

The project runs under the motto "Divided as individuals, connected as people". It connects young people from four different countries to explore and enact the theme of inclusion, inclusive thinking, and how empathy, openness and diversity can strengthen the communities we live in. If this is your first exchange, our guide explains what an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange is and how a typical one works.

The application form on this call is for participants from Greece.

The Questions Behind the Exchange

Throughout the week, participants search for answers to three questions:

๐Ÿ” What inclusion really is

๐Ÿง  How it affects the individual and society

๐ŸŒฑ How we can internalise it and use it to create a more connected world

The topics of the exchange are Inclusion & Diversity and Culture & Heritage.

What Happens During the Week

Through co-created interactive activities, intercultural experiences, teamwork and discussions, participants will:

๐Ÿชž Challenge their perspectives

๐Ÿšซ Fight stereotypes

๐Ÿคฒ Learn from one another

๐Ÿ’ก Develop a deeper understanding of inclusion and belonging

The goal is a space where every voice matters, differences become opportunities for connection, and young people are empowered to build a more open, respectful and connected society.

Meet the Organisers: Youth Centre Domลพale

The exchange is organised by Youth Centre Domลพale (Center za mlade Domลพale, CZM), a public institute established and funded by the municipality of Domลพale. A very important part of the exchange is the centre's group of youth, who actively take part in creating the youth exchange.

The youth centre's primary objectives are:

๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿคโ€๐Ÿง‘ Providing support for youth

โณ Offering opportunities to wisely use their free time

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Encouraging active involvement in society at local, national and international levels

To reach these goals, the centre runs various activities on its own or together with other Slovenian and international organisations. The project coordinator is Tamara Selko.

Meet the Slovenian Team

The infopack introduces seven young people from the Slovenian team, aged 18 to 23. Among them are students of civil engineering, UX/UI design, and Slovene language with pedagogy and andragogy, along with a future psychologist, a volunteer firefighter, a language lover and a keen traveller. They describe themselves through hobbies such as improvisation, sports, drawing and crocheting, yoga and tennis, baking, hiking, singing and going to festivals.

Partner Organisations and Groups

The exchange brings together 4 organisations from 4 different countries, including Slovenia:

๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ Center za mlade Domลพale, CZM (Slovenia)

๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท Parcours Le Monde (France)

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ El Pasero (Spain)

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ท You in Europe (Greece)

๐Ÿ‘ฅ Group size: 5 participants aged 18-30 from every organisation, plus 1 youth leader, who can be older than 30

๐Ÿ™‹ Active role: each participant is an active member of the youth exchange

๐Ÿ’ป Before arrival: a ZOOM meeting is held with the group leaders

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Language: participants are expected to be able to follow the youth exchange and cooperate in groups using English

Age rules differ by activity; our guide on who can apply for Erasmus+ and ESC goes through the usual checklist.

Your Tasks Before and During the Exchange

Because the organisers strongly support active youth participation, every partner group has tasks to prepare:

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Workshops: each group prepares a workshop or two about the topic of the youth exchange. You will receive instructions, so wait for them

โšก Energizers: each group prepares a few energizing, teambuilding and icebreaking activities, useful when the energy of the whole group is a bit on the lower side

๐Ÿ“ธ Group leader's photo file: the group leader collects photos and descriptions (not too long, not too short) of the team mates in one Word document and sends it to the project coordinator at least one week before arrival

๐ŸŽค Intercultural evenings: a short presentation of your country, for example a quiz, a PowerPoint presentation, music or dance

๐Ÿฒ Group dinner: each group prepares dinner on one evening. The dish should be simple and possible to prepare in one hour max, and the recipe with ingredients goes to the project coordinator at least one week before arrival

๐ŸšŒ Travel options: each participant contacts the project coordinator about their travelling options, and buys tickets only once they are confirmed. Everything is collected in one Word document and sent to the coordinator

๐Ÿ“ Participant questionnaire: fill out the "Mosaic through differences - participant questionary" as soon as you receive the infopack or are selected as a participant

Venue: Hostel Hiลกa na travniku in Dob

The exchange takes place at hostel Hiลกa na travniku, in the small village of Dob, near the capital city of Ljubljana.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Rooms: multi-bed rooms, with linen and towels provided

๐Ÿšฟ Bathrooms: two shared bathrooms and showers

๐Ÿณ Communal area: a spacious shared area with a kitchen and multiple tables

๐Ÿ›Ž๏ธ Other spaces: hostel reception and bar

Meals

All meals and coffee breaks are provided by the organisers, with special consideration for vegetarians and people with specific dietary requirements. If you wish, you can also bring some traditional food from your home country for the intercultural dinner. To see what a grant usually covers, read our guide on what Erasmus+ pays for in a youth project.

Dates, Arrival and Departure

๐Ÿ›ฌ Arrival day: 13 November 2026

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Days of activities: 14-18 November 2026

๐Ÿ›ซ Departure day: 19 November 2026

โฐ Attendance: participants must be present at the project between Friday evening and Thursday morning

Extra Days and Travel Route

If an earlier or later travel day is necessary, it should happen within 2 days before or after the activity. Your route must be the most direct one from the sending organisation's region and back. For different routes and itineraries, contact the coordinator for approval.

Travel Budget by Distance Band

Travel expenses are reimbursed according to the Erasmus+ programme, after the organisers receive all the original documents (boarding passes, bus and train tickets, invoices etc.). The travel budget follows the Erasmus+ distance bands, with the higher figure for green travel:

๐Ÿ“ 0-99 km: 28 โ‚ฌ / green travel 56 โ‚ฌ

๐Ÿš— 100-499 km: 211 โ‚ฌ / green travel 285 โ‚ฌ

๐Ÿš† 500-1999 km: 309 โ‚ฌ / green travel 417 โ‚ฌ

โœˆ๏ธ 2000-2999 km: 395 โ‚ฌ / green travel 535 โ‚ฌ

๐ŸŒ 3000-3999 km: 580 โ‚ฌ / green travel 785 โ‚ฌ

๐Ÿš† Green travel means travel that uses sustainable means of transport for at least 50% of the distance, such as bus, train or car-pooling. Our guide on how Erasmus+ travel reimbursement works explains the bands in more detail.

๐Ÿงฎ Distance tool: use the Erasmus+ Distance Calculator, with Domลพale as the end destination.

Before You Book Any Ticket

Before you make any reservation, inform the organisers about the prices, means of transport and times of arrival at info@czm-domzale.si. Keep all travel documents and forward them to the project coordinator, because reimbursement depends on them.

How to Reach Dob

๐ŸšŒ By FlixBus or other buses and trains: travel to Ljubljana city centre (main bus or train station), then take an Arriva bus to Dob/Domลพalah. Be careful when adding the address to Google Maps: Ljubljanska cesta 1, 1233 DOB

โœˆ๏ธ By plane to Ljubljana: the easiest, but often the most expensive, option is to fly to Letaliลกฤe Joลพeta Puฤnika Ljubljana airport. From there, take an Arriva bus to Ljubljana main bus station, then on to Domลพale, and from there another bus to the station Dob/Domลพalah, which is max 100 m from the hostel

๐Ÿ›ฉ๏ธ Nearby airports: you can also fly to Venice, Zagreb, Graz or Klagenfurt and take GoOpti, which must be booked in advance and connects all the nearest airports directly to the hostel

Mandatory Health Insurance

Do not forget to bring your European Health Insurance Card. If you do not have it yet, please arrange it; it is usually free of charge.

Photos, Videos and Data Protection

๐Ÿ“ท Photos and videos taken during the activities might be used to document the youth exchange and promote the project in reports, on partner websites, social media accounts and in further promotional materials. Where required, participants are asked for their consent before their photos or videos are used publicly

๐Ÿ”’ Personal data is collected and processed only for purposes related to the organisation and implementation of the youth exchange, such as registration, travel arrangements, accommodation, participation, communication and project reporting

โš–๏ธ GDPR: all personal data is handled under the applicable data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and is shared with third parties only when necessary for the project or when required by law

๐Ÿ™‹ Your rights: you have the right to know how your data is used and to exercise your rights; questions go to the project organisers
