Every one of these nine placements is a European Solidarity Corps opportunity, which means the funding is real: travel within the usual distance bands, accommodation, food, local transport, insurance, pocket money, a mentor and language support are all covered, for volunteers aged 18 to 30. Two are open on a rolling basis and close as soon as enough good applications arrive, while the rest run from late July through late August.

After eighteen years of community impact the organisation has relocated, and now needs volunteers to make the new place come alive. Your days mix hands on work and gardening with environmental action like forest clean ups, and cultural activities: cooking intercultural dishes, creating social media content and running workshops for children in nearby villages. You get guided training in manual work, gardening and non formal education, and an introduction to the European Youth Goals. 🇫🇷 France: Listening to and Supporting Isolated Elderly People 🎙️

Become part of a wonderful chain of solidarity in Brittany, helping elderly people who suffer from loneliness and social isolation. Together with another European volunteer, your main mission is the "Listen to Me" project: collecting and promoting the testimonies of elderly people in written, audio and video form. You also visit isolated seniors regularly, take part in group activities, run digital workshops, and join training and community life, within a team supporting 31 groups of volunteers of all ages at regional level. 🇩🇪 Germany: Biodiversity and Orchard Conservation Camp 🍎

Spend two weeks working on an orchard full of old fruit trees that are home to a biodiversity of animals, plants and fungi and a very important agro cultural heritage. Your work involves cutting off dead branches and harvesting the fruit, which is used to produce a famous local most, with professionals introducing you to this protective work. Together with the forest rangers there is additional work in the surrounding woods, and another special workplace is the area's bio cultural arboretum, where you help maintain exotic trees and bushes. 🇬🇷 Greece: Off-Grid Eco-Building in a Sustainable Community 🛖

Get your hands dirty and your mind full at an off grid sustainability community on the Greek island of Evia, building on work that has been growing on site since 2010. As part of this ESC team you help complete three ongoing new eco buildings, including a magnificent structure that will become the main hub of the community, plus a new yurt and nursery at the test site land. Alongside skilled trainers you also improve existing constructions through skill sharing and the practice of a new, sustainable way of life. The project runs for 25 days including travel days, welcoming 12 to 14 motivated participants from EU countries. ⚠️ A genuinely low impact life: compost toilets, a vegan diet and a community respectful rhythm, all within walking distance of the sea. Join the team of a lively cultural centre in Vicenza, working alongside Italian volunteers on activities like training courses, workshops, film screenings, book presentations, conferences and concerts, plus a small bar for moments of sociality.
