Eight new roles opened this week, one each in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy, Laos, the United States, Luxembourg and Spain, and they reach unusually high. Two sit inside the UN itself: a communications internship with the UNDP programme clearing unexploded ordnance in Laos, the most heavily bombed country per capita on earth, and a civil society outreach internship at UN Global Communications in New York. Alongside them, a Programme Manager job leading the ILO's Vision Zero Fund in Geneva, an Associate Investment Officer job at the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg, a paid solar physics research placement in Germany, a paid NGO communications internship in Italy, an app developer internship in the Netherlands, and a volunteer coordinator role on Gran Canaria. Six internships and two senior jobs, from a photonics lab bench to a bomb clearance programme.
The funding varies and we list only what each states. The German research placement pays โฌ992 a month, the Italian NGO internship โฌ600, and the Dutch app developer role โฌ100 a month as an Erasmus+ internship. The two jobs at the ILO and EIB are senior salaried positions, while the UN internships in Laos and New York offer experience at an organisation most CVs never reach rather than a stated wage. The deadlines run from now to 31 July 2026.

Eight roles, eight countries, and a ceiling set higher than usual. The UN thread is the standout, from a communications internship inside the UNDP programme clearing unexploded bombs in Laos to civil society outreach at UN Global Communications in New York, joined by two senior jobs at the ILO in Geneva and the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg. Around them sit the paid entry points: solar physics research in Germany at โฌ992 a month, NGO communications in Italy at โฌ600, and app development in the Netherlands as an Erasmus+ internship, plus a volunteer coordinator role on Gran Canaria. The German placement is open now on a rolling basis, and the rest close between 26 and 31 July 2026. Find the one that matches your field, and get your application in before the window shuts.
