🌿 Friends of the Earth Malta is looking for a Community Building and Fundraising Volunteer to join their team in Floriana, Malta.
🏡 Accommodation: You will have shared accommodation near the organization’s offices in Floriana. Living costs such as electricity, water, gas, and internet will be covered. Flight and transport to/from Malta will be reimbursed (up to a limit), and you’ll receive a monthly allowance and private Henner insurance. Support is also available for those with disabilities.
📅 Duration: 1 week (01/10/2023 – 31/07/2024)
📍 Location: Xatt ic-Cangatura, FRN 1260 Floriana Malta
🌟 Activity Description: As a Community Building and Fundraising Volunteer, you will support Friends of the Earth Malta in securing resources to deliver impactful campaigns on environmental and social justice issues. Your duties will include:
1️⃣ Planning and organizing FoEM events and workshops.
2️⃣ Implementing a fundraising strategy and internal policies.
3️⃣ Researching campaign funding, project ideation, development, and writing.
4️⃣ Building strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and communities.
5️⃣ Participating in FoE Europe network meetings.
6️⃣ General tasks related to the day-to-day running of the organization.
📚 Training: This is a European Solidarity Corps (ERASMUS+/ESC) volunteering opportunity for up to 8 months, ideally starting in October 2023. You’ll work in collaboration with the FoE Malta team and be line-managed by the Operations Manager. Travel and accommodation costs will be reimbursed as part of the ESC program.
👥 Participant Profile: FoEM is looking for someone who is passionate about environmental justice and has the following qualities:
- Willingness to support event planning and fundraising efforts.
- Interest in research and campaign funding.
- Ability to build strategic partnerships.
- Willingness to participate in network meetings.
- General organizational support skills.
