🌟 Here’s an exciting ESC opportunity in Genoa, Italy, with La Comunità, a social enterprise working to combat and prevent minors’ distress and support vulnerable families through educational activities.
🏡 Accommodation: You’ll have access to shared accommodation in Genova with double/triple rooms. Plus, you’ll receive 5 euros per day for pocket money and food or a food allowance.
📅 Duration: 23 weeks (23/09/2023 – 29/02/2024)
📍 Location: Genova, Italy
🌟 Activity Description: La Comunità manages a CEA (Centro Educativo diurno e semi-residenziale) that hosts minors taken by social services and temporarily separated from their natural families. As a volunteer, your tasks will include:
1️⃣ Organizing recreational activities such as games and workshops.
2️⃣ Providing language support to the children.
3️⃣ Assisting with daily tasks like pedagogical and sports activities, short trips, and visits.
📚 Training: You’ll have the opportunity to participate in training offered by the Italian National Agency, including On Arrival Training, Mid-Term Evaluation, and Final Evaluation. You’ll also receive specific training related to your work with the target group.
👥 Participant Profile: The ideal volunteer should be:
- Aged 23 or older.
- Available for the entire project duration (Sept 2023 – Feb 2024, with the possibility of an extension).
- Autonomous, mature, and responsible.
- Open to sharing and meeting new people.
- Motivated to join the activities.
- Possess qualities such as high tolerance, patience, firmness, creativity, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
