Only 3 spots remaining. This ESC Humanitarian Aid volunteering team project in Lima, Peru is looking for dynamic, compassionate volunteers passionate about women’s empowerment, gender equality, education, and community development. Working alongside vulnerable women and high school students in Lima, volunteers will facilitate training workshops on personal empowerment, human rights, leadership, and productive skills โ€” while also contributing to community outreach events promoting gender equality and respect for women’s rights. Accommodation on the Pacific coast in Punta Negra, daily food stipend, and on-arrival training all provided. Deadline: 15 April 2026.
๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ช Did You Know? Lima is one of the largest cities in South America โ€” home to over 10 million people and one of the most culturally diverse urban centres on the continent. But just outside the city, Punta Negra โ€” where volunteers on this project will be accommodated โ€” is a quiet Pacific Ocean coastal town that offers a striking contrast to the urban intensity of Lima. Waking up to the Pacific while working on gender equality in one of South America’s most vibrant capitals is a genuinely unique combination.

What Will You Do?

๐Ÿ‘ฉFacilitate training workshops for vulnerable women covering personal empowerment, leadership, self-confidence, and decision-making โ€” building skills and capacities that create lasting change
๐Ÿ’ปRun productive skills workshops including cooking and computer skills โ€” practical, hands-on sessions that increase economic independence
โš–๏ธDeliver workshops on human rights, gender equity, and domestic violence prevention โ€” providing information and tools to women and young people in vulnerable situations
๐ŸคHelp form and facilitate working groups between vulnerable women and high school students from local schools and the CETPRO โ€” fostering intergenerational collaboration and mutual learning
๐Ÿ“ฃOrganise community outreach and awareness events promoting gender equality, respect for women’s rights, and the value of women’s productive work in local communities
๐Ÿ’ก Did You Know? The CETPRO (Centro de Educaciรณn Tรฉcnico Productiva) system in Peru is a network of technical education centres designed to provide practical vocational training to young people and adults who lack access to formal education pathways. Working alongside CETPRO students as volunteers do in this project means contributing directly to one of Peru’s most important social mobility mechanisms โ€” connecting skills training with community development at ground level.
