๐ฉ๐ช ESC Volunteering in Germany ๐ Climate Adaptation and Social Solidarity โป๏ธ Diakonie Bavaria, Nรผrnberg ๐ฉ๐ช
Are you passionate about climate action, sustainability, and social solidarity โ and looking for a hands-on ESC volunteering experience in Germany? Diakonie Bavaria is looking for a motivated volunteer to support KADia, a climate adaptation project helping social organisations protect vulnerable groups โ including older people, children, and people with disabilities โ from the growing impacts of climate change. You will contribute to event organisation, communication, social media, and outreach as part of an experienced and supportive team in Nรผrnberg. Accommodation, insurance, pocket money, and travel support all provided. Deadline: 24 March 2026.
๐ฉ๐ช Did You Know? Nรผrnberg is one of Germany’s most historically significant cities โ once a centre of the Holy Roman Empire and later the site of the post-World War II Nuremberg Trials. Today it is a vibrant, mid-sized city in Bavaria with a strong civil society, excellent public transport, and a well-established culture of social and environmental initiatives.
What Will You Do?
๐ชHelp organise online and in-person events as part of the KADia climate adaptation project โ supporting logistics, coordination, and follow-up
๐ฃAssist with communication activities โ including writing short texts, preparing outreach materials, and contributing to the project’s visibility efforts
๐ฑSupport the project’s social media presence โ creating content that raises awareness of climate challenges in the social sector
๐Contribute to the project’s digital platform, which collects and shares good practice examples of climate adaptation measures from social organisations across Germany
๐คConnect with social organisations working with vulnerable groups โ helping to share knowledge, highlight successful approaches, and build networks around climate resilience
๐Participate in internal meetings, workshops, and events โ contributing your own ideas and perspectives to the team’s work
