🇩🇪#Germany ESC Project – 📣 Participant Call

The Naturland association, based in Gräfelfing/Munich, Germany, is offering a volunteering opportunity titled “Communication and Training for International Organic Farmers.” Naturland is the largest international association for organic agriculture, with a global network of farmers, beekeepers, and fish farmers promoting ecological, social, and fair management practices. The role involves supporting the “International Capacity & Community Building” department as part of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program.

Volunteer tasks include contributing to communication efforts among international members, assisting with various communication tools such as the website and newsletter, participating in international events and fairs, contributing to the development of the Naturland Academy’s training concept (both on-site and online), and conducting research on topics related to organic farming, fair trade, sustainability, climate change adaptation, and more.

Accommodation will be provided in a youth residence in Munich, with shared facilities and a garden. The volunteer will receive a free public transport ticket and approximately €400 monthly for food and other expenses, following the usual ESC volunteering conditions. The duration of the opportunity is expected to be 10-12 months, depending on accommodation availability.

The volunteering experience offers the chance to learn about sustainable and organic agriculture, fair trade, quality assurance in international value chains, and digital education systems. Participants should be between 18 and 27 years old, eligible for the European Solidarity Corps Program, interested in sustainable agriculture, proficient in English (knowledge of Spanish, Italian, or German is advantageous), possess good communication skills, and have an interest or background in social media or newsletters.

The volunteering period is 52 weeks, from October 1, 2023, to December 31, 2024.

The activity will take place at Kleinhaderner Weg 1, 82166 Gräfelfing/Munich, Germany. The opportunity is open to participants from several eligible European countries. The activity primarily focuses on environment and natural protection.

The application deadline is September 15, 2023.
