🇸🇰 Erasmus+ Training Course 🌱 TOSCA — Training & Support for ESC Volunteering Organisations, Slovakia 🇸🇰
Are you part of an organisation holding a Quality Label for ESC Volunteering — and looking to strengthen how you design, implement, and manage European Solidarity Corps projects? TOSCA is an international training course specifically developed for organisations actively involved in ESC Volunteering Actions, organised by the Slovak National Agency NIVAM in cooperation with the SALTO European Solidarity Corps Resource Centre. The training combines a mandatory online preparatory phase with a residential training in Slovakia, and focuses on quality standards, project design, programme rules, peer learning, and building a genuine community of ESC organisations. 20 spots available. 🇸🇰 Did You Know? Slovakia — officially the Slovak Republic — is a landlocked Central European country bordering Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, and Hungary. Despite its small size, it is home to nine UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including medieval castles, historic town centres, and unique wooden churches in the Carpathian mountains.
What Will You Learn & Do?
🌟Deepen your understanding of the core quality criteria of the European Solidarity Corps and what it means to implement them meaningfully within your organisation
🛠️Build practical competences for designing and implementing ESC volunteering projects with a genuine focus on quality and real community impact
📋Gain full clarity on how the ESC programme works formally — opportunities, guidelines, structures, priorities, rules, and procedures explained in depth
💬Bring your burning issues and unresolved questions to a supportive space — and receive peer and expert support where possible
🤝Become part of a growing community of ESC organisations across Europe — built on shared learning, peer exchange, and mutual support
💻Complete a mandatory online preparatory phase before the residential training — beginning with an online module on 7 April 2026 at 14:30 CET, covering foundational content and first organisational self-assessments
💡 Did You Know? The ESC Quality Label — required to participate in this training — is not just a bureaucratic stamp. It is a formal recognition that an organisation is committed to providing safe, meaningful, and high-quality volunteering experiences. Organisations must apply for and renew it through their National Agency, and it serves as the gateway to hosting or sending volunteers under the European Solidarity Corps programme.
Costs & Practicalities
🏠Accommodation and meals are covered by the hosting National Agency or SALTO for the duration of the residential training in Slovakia
💶Participation fee varies by country — contact your National Agency to find out the fee applicable to participants from your country before applying
✈️Travel costs may be reimbursed by your National Agency — contact them before applying to confirm whether your country is involved in this project and committed to covering travel costs

🗣️You are able to work fully in English — the sole working language of the training
👥Recommended for: youth workers, youth leaders, youth project managers, volunteering mentors, and youth coaches
