🌍 About the Volunteering Opportunity

This ESC volunteering opportunity takes place in the Butterfly House museum Farfalle nella Testa in Bordano, Italy. The project focuses on communication, digital storytelling, and environmental awareness.

The volunteer will support the communication and media activities of the Butterfly House by creating and managing visual and digital content about animals, plants, and the surrounding natural environment. The experience offers a unique combination of nature conservation, creative media production, and community engagement in a small Italian village.

🦋 Volunteer Activities

📸 Support the communication of Butterfly House activities through photography and visual storytelling
🎬 Assist in video production including planning, shooting, lighting, audio and editing
🖥 Publish and manage content on websites and social media channels
📊 Analyse social media statistics and support media strategy planning
🗂 Help maintain and organise the photographic archive of the organisation
🎨 Support graphic design of communication materials
💡 Contribute creative ideas to improve communication and outreach activities

🏡 Accommodation, Food and Transport

🏠 Volunteers will live in a shared two-floor house with a garden located in Bordano
🛏 Room will be shared with another volunteer of the same gender
🥗 Food allowance of 150 EUR per month for groceries
💶 Pocket money of 6 EUR per day
🚲 Bicycles are available for local transportation
✈️ Travel expenses reimbursed according to European Commission ESC distance bands

📚 Training and Support

🎓 Volunteers will participate in On-Arrival Training organised by the Italian National Agency
🤝 Additional orientation and mentoring will be provided by the coordinating organisation Associazione Joint and the local host team
