🇸🇮 Slovenia ESC Project – 📣 Participant Call
The “Varstveno delovni center Tončke Hočevar” in Ljubljana, Slovenia, is a care and working center focused on providing programs and services for adults with intellectual and co-occurring disabilities. They are seeking two volunteers to participate in various activities, including organizing leisure and health maintenance activities for the beneficiaries.
The center offers different work occupation programs and institutional care for residents. Volunteers will live in a single bedroom in a shared student apartment near the center, receive meals during work, and a monthly bus ticket for transport within Ljubljana.
Training will be provided by the Slovenian national agency and the hosting organization, focusing on working with individuals with disabilities. They are looking for open-minded, communicative, creative, and proactive volunteers who are interested in gaining experience in this field. Handwork skills or other talents are desirable.
The volunteering period spans 44 weeks from 01/10/2023 to 31/07/2024.
The center is located at Vodnikova cesta 56, Ljubljana, Slovenia. Participants from various countries are eligible, and the application deadline is 10/09/2022.
The activity addresses social challenges, health and well-being, creativity and culture, as well as physical education and sport.
