Project Description
Eat Wise, Live Well is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange focused on healthy lifestyles, balanced nutrition, sustainability, and community wellbeing. The project aims to encourage young people to build a positive and conscious relationship with food, health, and their bodies, while developing practical life skills and long-term healthy habits.
Through shared living, collective cooking, workshops, and experiential learning, participants will explore how daily food choices affect personal health, social wellbeing, and environmental sustainability. The project creates a supportive international community where participants empower each other to make informed, mindful, and lasting lifestyle changes.
Project Objectives
๐ฅฆ Learn principles of balanced nutrition including food labels, portion sizes, and whole foods
๐ Promote sustainable eating habits such as reducing food waste and choosing local seasonal products
๐ฌ Challenge harmful diet trends and body image misconceptions
๐ณ Develop practical skills in budgeting, meal planning, and healthy cooking
๐ค Strengthen a sense of community and mutual support for healthier lifestyles
Participant Profile
๐ค Aged 18โ30
๐ฃ๏ธ Communicative level of English
๐ฑ Strong interest in food, health, wellbeing, and sustainability
๐ค Motivated to work in an international and intercultural group
โฟ 25 participants with fewer opportunities (economic, social, or financial)
Group Leader Profile
๐ฅ Youth workers or youth leaders with Erasmus+ experience
๐งฉ Support participants before, during, and after the exchange
๐ Coordinate preparation meetings and practical arrangements
๐ Support learning processes, evaluation, and follow-up activities
๐ No age limit for group leaders

๐ง Ice-breakers and team-building activities
๐ฌ Guided and reflective discussions
๐ฒ Simulation games addressing non-formal education challenges
๐ฑ Practical methods transferable to local communities
Accommodation & Food
๐ Participants will stay in renovated houses in the village of Matour
๐๏ธ Shared rooms with participants from different countries and same gender
๐ฝ๏ธ Three meals per day + two coffee breaks provided
๐ฉโ๐ณ Participants will support the chef daily and take part in food preparation
๐ฅ Vegetarian, vegan, and allergy needs respected (to be indicated in the application form)
๐ซ Alcohol is strictly not allowed at the venue
Travel & Costs
๐ถ Accommodation, food, and programme costs are 100% covered by Erasmus+
โ๏ธ Travel costs reimbursed according to Erasmus+ rules
โ ๏ธ Costs are covered only between 10โ18 April 2026
โ ๏ธ Extra days or holiday travel are not reimbursed
