🤝 This European Solidarity Corps individual volunteering opportunity focuses on social inclusion and daily care for people with hearing impairment or visual impairment
🏛️ The project is implemented by ASS Patronage Institut Régional Sourds Aveugles de Marseille, a recognised organisation holding the ESC Quality Label
🎨 The mission combines social inclusion arts culture and community-based activities within specialised care institutes in Lyon

🎯 Main Objectives and Tasks
🎨 Creating and supporting inclusive living spaces through local animations such as exhibitions vernissages and cultural events
🖼️ Supporting the creation and management of an art library showcasing artworks created by residents over the years
🤝 Designing and facilitating social inclusion activities such as intercultural workshops cooking workshops and sports events
🌍 Supporting European cooperation projects coordinated by the organisation including partnerships and networks
🧠 Encouraging open-mindedness inclusion and active participation of residents through creative and social initiatives

🏠 Accommodation and Daily Support
🏡 Private room provided within the institute building in Lyon
🚿 Access to shared shower and toilet facilities inside the residence
🍽️ Accommodation and food fully provided with meals available at the workplace
🚶 Daily life organised within a supportive institutional and community-based environment

📘 Learning and Training During the Activity
🧠 Training in French language
🤟 Training in French Sign Language to support communication with deaf residents
🤝 Daily learning through practice interaction and mentorship in a professional care environment

👤 Participant Profile
🤝 Comfortable with social interaction and motivated to work in disability and inclusion contexts
🤟 Sensitivity to deaf culture and willingness to learn or improve French Sign Language
🎨 Interest in artistic cultural or sports-related activities
🇮🇹🇪🇸 Preference for volunteers of Italian or Spanish nationality or language background
🧠 Adaptable proactive and open-minded with entrepreneurial and creative skills
🇫🇷 Basic understanding or speaking French is an asset
