About the Opportunity
This European Solidarity Corps individual volunteering project is implemented by migration_miteinander e.V. and Signal of Solidarity e.V. through the Nouranour initiative in Germany. The project focuses on empowering women with fewer opportunities by supporting their social, educational, and professional integration. Through sewing, handicraft, and upcycling activities, participants create sustainable fashion items from recycled materials while building skills, confidence, and community connections.

What Will You Do?
🧵 Support sewing, handicraft, and upcycling workshops with women
♻️ Contribute to sustainable fashion initiatives and clothing repair
📱 Create content and support social media and communication activities
🎥 Help with posts, stories, short videos, and event communication
🖌️ Assist in designing posters and visual materials
🤝 Support women in finding educational, professional, and social opportunities
🏬 Take part in daily shop activities and learn basic shop management

Learning & Training
📘 On-arrival and ongoing mentoring within the hosting organisation
🧠 Hands-on learning in social inclusion, communication, and sustainability
📜 Youthpass certificate recognising learning outcomes

Accommodation & Practical Arrangements
🏠 Private bedroom in a shared apartment
🚆 Monthly Deutschlandticket for nationwide public transport
💶 Pocket money provided for food and personal expenses

Participant Profile
🙋 Aged 18–30
🎨 Creative and motivated with interest in communication and social media
📱 Background or interest in social media, graphic design, or video editing preferred
🧵 Interest in upcycling and sustainable fashion
🗣️ Basic German skills preferred (support to find a German class available)
❤️ Strong communication skills and motivation to work in a social project
