About the Opportunity
ESC at Hopeland | Vitality Project is a European Solidarity Corps individual volunteering experience offering young people the chance to live and co-create for six months in a rural community based on care, solidarity, and sustainability. The project focuses on active citizenship, personal development, and community life, especially supporting young people with fewer opportunities through a self-directed volunteering approach.
What Will You Do?
๐ ๏ธ Contribute to the maintenance and daily life of Hopeland
๐ก Support hosting of groups, trainings, and residencies
๐ Engage in outreach activities with the local community
๐จ Use your creativity, practical skills, and initiative in self-directed tasks
๐ค Co-create a nurturing and well-functioning community based on shared agreements
Learning & Personal Development
๐ฑ Experience community living and sustainable rural lifestyle
๐ง Develop autonomy, responsibility, and active citizenship skills
๐ค Learn through hands-on practice, reflection, and collective processes
๐ Youthpass certificate for recognition of learning outcomes
Accommodation & Practical Arrangements
โบ Individual teepee tent with pallet bed and basic furniture
๐ฟ Outdoor showers and toilets, including compost toilets
๐ณ Shared kitchen and roofed dining area
๐ฅ Communal cooking and shared meals during the week
๐ Van available for transportation upon coordination
Participant Profile
๐ Aged 18โ30 (not older than 30 on the first project day)
๐ฎ๐น Legal residents of Italy (nationality may vary)
๐ฟ Ready to live in a rural environment with basic conditions
๐ค Open to intercultural community life and collective agreements
๐ช Motivated for hands-on, practical activities and personal growth
