This European Solidarity Corps individual volunteering opportunity takes place in Helsinki, Finland ๐ซ๐ฎ and is implemented by Valo-Valmennusyhdistys ry, a national association working to improve access to learning, employment, wellbeing, civic participation, and youth engagement across Finland.
The project focuses on civic engagement, youth participation, communication, and event organisation, offering volunteers a hands-on learning experience within a professional yet supportive community environment.

Valo-Valmennusyhdistys ry delivers services in employment and rehabilitation, education, housing, youth work, and social inclusion. As a volunteer, you will actively contribute to strengthening community-based activities and supporting young peopleโs participation in society while developing practical skills in communication and project work.
๐ Volunteer Tasks and Responsibilities
๐ฃ๏ธ Support the planning and delivery of civic and youth activities
๐ข Assist with communication tasks, including social media and content updates
๐ช Take part in the organisation of events and community activities
๐ Support international activities and cooperation projects
๐ค Work closely with staff and other volunteers in a collaborative team environment
๐ Learning and Training Opportunities
๐ On-arrival and mid-term trainings organised by the Finnish National Agency
๐ง Continuous mentoring and reflection on learning outcomes
๐ ๏ธ On-the-job learning in civic engagement, communication tools, teamwork, and project planning
๐ฑ Personal development support throughout the volunteering period
๐ก Accommodation, Food and Support
๐ Accommodation in Helsinki provided by the coordinating organisation (shared or private, depending on availability)
