🧭 About the Volunteering Opportunity
Support for the Inclusion and Civic Participation of Young People with Recognised Intellectual Disabilities is an European Solidarity Corps individual volunteering project hosted by ESPJ CECAP JOVEN in Toledo, Spain. The project focuses on supporting young people with recognised intellectual disabilities through leisure, free-time, and community-based activities that strengthen social, communication, and daily life skills. Volunteers will work closely with professionals, contributing to inclusive practices that promote autonomy, participation, and dignity.

🎯 Main Aim
To promote social inclusion, civic participation, and independent living skills of young people with intellectual disabilities through supportive, inclusive, and community-oriented youth work.

🧩 Volunteer Tasks and Activities
🤝 Support leisure and free-time activities such as cinema visits, bowling, dining out, and group trips
🗣️ Assist young people in developing social and communication skills
🧠 Support adaptive and functional skills for daily independence
🎨 Take part in creative and cultural activities
🏘️ Contribute to inclusive community participation experiences
👥 Support professionals during planned activities and sessions

😊 Positive attitude towards supporting people in vulnerable situations
🤍 Ethical commitment, responsibility, and respect
🗣️ Basic knowledge of Spanish is an advantage and prioritised
🎓 No prior professional training required
🌍 Motivated to learn and engage in inclusive youth work
