๐ Project Overview
This European Solidarity Corps (ESC) Individual Volunteering opportunity takes place in Antwerp (Deurne), Belgium and focuses on supporting children and young people aged 3โ21 who face social, emotional, or family-related challenges. Volunteers will play an active role in daily youth care activities, offering positive role models, emotional support, and creative energy in a professional youth care environment. The project is centered on inclusion, wellbeing, education, and social support, allowing volunteers to make a real impact while gaining deep intercultural and personal experience.
๐ฏ Main Volunteering Activities
๐จ Organising creative, cultural, and recreational activities (arts, crafts, sports, cooking)
๐ค Supporting young people in daily routines and group activities
๐งญ Accompanying youth during outings, appointments, and camps
๐ Assisting with practical tasks such as shopping, meals, and event preparation
๐ก Designing and implementing your own activity ideas and initiatives
๐ Acting as a positive role model and trusted companion for young people
๐ก Accommodation, Food & Transport
๐ Shared, fully equipped apartment for volunteers with internet access
๐ฝ๏ธ Meals together with young people during activities
๐ถ Monthly food allowance provided
๐ฒ Local transport covered (public transport or bicycle)
๐ Training & Learning Support
๐ Continuous on-the-job learning in youth care and non-profit work
