About the Training Course
Inclusive Youth Exchanges – Blended Learning Course is a comprehensive Erasmus+ training programme designed for youth workers, group leaders, and facilitators who want to develop strong competences in inclusive international youth work with highly vulnerable young people.

This is a special blended-format course, combining:
🖥️ an online learning phase,
🏔️ a residential training in Hungary,
🤝 and an optional on-the-job learning experience in real Youth Exchanges.

The course is part of the Ladder to Inclusion Erasmus+ project, co-funded by the European Union.

Structure of the Blended Learning Course
🖥️ Online Course – LADDER Online Course
📅 February – April 2026
• Self-paced learning
• Foundations of inclusive youth work
• Preparation for residential training

🏔️ Residential Training – Galyatető, Matra Mountains, Hungary 🇭🇺
📅 8–16 April 2026 (including travel days)
• Experiential learning
• Trauma-informed youth work
• Safeguarding & violence prevention
• Psychological first aid
• Risk management in youth exchanges
• Intercultural dimensions & resistance in groups

🤝 Optional On-the-Job Learning (Summer 2026)
📍 Latvia 🇱🇻 (July 2026)
📍 Spain 🇪🇸 (August 2026)
• For approx. half of the residential participants
• Real practice as group leaders or facilitators
• Mentoring & reflection support

What Is Meant by “Highly Vulnerable Youth”?
The course defines highly vulnerable youth as young people facing at least two major life challenges, with at least one being chronic or systemic, such as:
• extreme poverty
• abuse
• long-term family instability

Including these young people in Erasmus+ programmes requires tailored strategies, professional skills, and long-term commitment—this course equips you exactly for that.

🧠 Apply trauma-informed and safeguarding approaches
🧩 Manage challenging group situations
🤝 Strengthen intercultural sensitivity and facilitation skills

🧠 Emotionally ready to work with sensitive topics
🗣️ Fluent in English (working language)
📅 Able to participate in the full blended course (online + residential)

🚫 Not open to
• teachers or formal education professionals not involved in youth work
• people seeking therapeutic intervention
