Join Roter Baum Berlin UG at JFE Anna Landsberger, a vibrant youth center located in the district of Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Berlin.
This ESC volunteering opportunity invites you to work with young people aged 12–27, supporting their creativity, learning, and social engagement through non-formal education and community activities.
At JFE Anna Landsberger, every day brings something new — from graffiti, music, and sports to cooking, handicrafts, and social projects. You’ll help create a welcoming and inclusive environment where young people can express themselves freely, build confidence, and connect through creativity. 🌈🎶
🎯 Main Activities
🎨 Support artistic and creative workshops (graffiti, painting, music, handicrafts)
🍳 Assist in cooking sessions and cultural exchange activities
🏓 Organise games, sports, and leisure events
🌍 Take part in study visits and youth exchanges in Berlin and abroad
🤝 Help with daily youth-center activities and community events
💡 Inspire young people to discover their talents and interests
🏡 Accommodation, Food & Allowances
🏠 A fully equipped shared apartment near the project site (private bedroom, kitchen, Wi-Fi, heating)
🚆 Monthly public transport ticket for Berlin
🚴 Option to use a bike
💶 Approx. €500 monthly grant (includes food, transport, and pocket money)
🍽️ Access to the youth center kitchen for meals during working hours
🎓 Training & Support
🗣️ Online Linguistic Support (OLS) to improve your German skills
🏫 Optional language courses (two during the year)
🤝 On-arrival and mid-term seminars organised by the German National Agency
👩🏫 Continuous support from your mentor and project team
🎨 Ongoing learning about youth work, project management, and social engagement
👤 Participant Profile
We’re looking for an enthusiastic volunteer who:
🌍 Is open-minded, adaptable, and motivated to work with youth
🎵 Has interest or experience in creative fields such as art, music, rap, graffiti, or sports
💬 Speaks good English (German B1 preferred; A2 accepted)
🤝 Enjoys teamwork and connecting with people from different cultures
This experience is ideal for someone eager to learn about non-formal education, youth work, and community development in a creative, supportive environment.
