🌟 What is “HeldInnen Raum”?

“HeldInnen Raum” is a vibrant youth center in Berlin where children (ages 6-13) from diverse backgrounds can engage in educational, creative, and social activities. The project provides hands-on experience in youth work with a mix of art, music, environmental, and cultural activities.

💡 Your Role as a Volunteer:
🎭 Organize creative workshops (art, music, upcycling, etc.)
⚽ Facilitate sports & recreational activities
🌿 Lead eco-friendly & sustainability projects
👫 Support inclusive and intercultural events
📚 Help with daily activities & team collaboration

You’ll also have the chance to focus on a project related to your skills and passions!

🏠 Accommodation, Food & Transport Support

❗ Important: You must have your own accommodation in Berlin. VJF will provide an allowance for rent.
✔ Food allowance (€9.60/day) & pocket money (€6.00/day)
✔ Public transport pass for Berlin

📚 Pre-departure support & mentoring
📢 Participation in mandatory ESC training seminars
🗣 On-site mentorship at the youth center

👥 Who Can Apply?

🔹 Ages 18-30 with an interest in youth work & community building
🔹 Basic German & good English skills (recommended)
🔹 Creative, flexible, and motivated to work with children
🔹 Team-oriented & independent with strong communication skills
🔹 Experience with children or youth work is a plus!
