🇧🇪 Erasmus+ Internship in Belgium 📣 Communications & Content Strategy Trainee 🌍 Youth Mobility & Digital Storytelling, Brussels 🇧🇪

The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) international headquarters in Brussels, Belgium is looking for a Communications and Content Strategy Trainee to join its communications team. ESN is the largest student network in Europe, active in over 500 higher education institutions across 44 countries and supporting student mobility since 1989. This Erasmus+ traineeship places you at the centre of ESN’s storytelling and outreach — managing social media, producing editorial content, and amplifying the voices of mobility participants across Europe’s most prominent youth organisation.

🌍 Did You Know? Brussels is home to more international institutions and diplomats per capita than almost any other city in the world — including the European Commission, NATO headquarters, and hundreds of NGOs and advocacy organisations. For anyone building a career in communications, media, or European affairs, there is no more connected city on the continent.

What Will You Do?

📱 Social Media Management: Manage and produce content for ESN’s social media channels — including TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Bluesky — with a focus on promoting international mobility opportunities across Europe.
✍️ Copywriting & Editorial Content: Write compelling copy, design newsletters, and produce news articles for ESN.org and the Erasmus Generation Blog.
🌐 Website Management: Maintain and update content on ESN.org, ensuring clarity, consistency, and relevance across the organisation’s main digital platform.
🎨 Visual & Multimedia Production: Work with photography, video, and graphic design tools to create digital and print promotional materials in the field of mobility promotion.
📖 Publications & Annual Report: Contribute to ESN’s official publications on mobility promotion, including content for the organisation’s Annual Report.
🎙️ Testimonial Collection: Work directly with mobility participants to collect and communicate personal stories and testimonials connected to ESN’s activities and impact.
📡 Strategic Communication Planning: Assist in the planning and implementation of communication initiatives to promote ESN’s work, values, and impact consistently across all platforms.
🌍 Did You Know? The Erasmus programme is widely regarded as one of the most transformative educational initiatives in European history. Since 1987, over 13 million people have participated in Erasmus exchanges — and research consistently shows that Erasmus alumni are more internationally mobile, more entrepreneurial, and less likely to be unemployed than their peers who did not participate.
