🌍 Project Overview

Join Fondation Apprentis d’Auteuil in Strasbourg for a meaningful volunteering experience supporting children facing social, educational, or personal difficulties. As part of the Joie de Vivre school community, volunteers contribute to a caring, inclusive environment where confidence, well-being, and intercultural learning are central.

🎯 What You Will Do

🧒 Support underprivileged children in their daily school life
🇩🇪 Introduce pupils to German through playful, immersive activities
🎤 Help children hear and practice German in class
🤝 Assist teachers and educators during lessons, breaks, and activities
🍽️ Participate in canteen service and lunchtime supervision
🌍 Create intercultural, solidarity-focused, and openness-themed activities
🎨 Engage with children through creative, artistic and educational sessions
♿ Support inclusion for children from ULIS classes (school inclusion unit)

🏡 Accommodation, Food & Transport

🏠 Fully arranged accommodation in Strasbourg (furnished studio / family stay / shared house)
🚋 Easy access to public transport (bus, tram, train, shared bikes)
🍽️ Monthly food allowance + budget to cover transport pass

🧭 Training & Support

🌟 Participant Profile

🇩🇪 German-speaking volunteer (B2 level)
🇫🇷 Basic French (A2 level)
👥 Ages 18–30
🎒 Experience in animation or teaching is an advantage
💛 Enjoys working with children and supporting their growth
🤝 Comfortable with teamwork and daily interaction
🎨 Interest in arts, culture, or sustainable development is a plus
