🌟 Project Description
“Youth for Diversity and Inclusion” is an ESC volunteering project hosted in Targoviste – Dambovita, Romania 🇷🇴, aiming to build a more inclusive, tolerant, and human-rights-focused community where all individuals enjoy equal opportunities. Volunteers will contribute to the physical development of the future youth space “Horizons”, helping create a welcoming and accessible environment for local young people.
Your tasks will include:
- 🛠️ Assembling, organising and maintaining youth facilities
- 🌿 Planting trees and arranging green spaces
- 🏡 Preparing and setting up areas for youth activities
- 📚 Supporting facilitators during thematic workshops
- 🧩 Helping create an inclusive community through hands-on work
Note: This volunteering opportunity is also open to young people residing in Romania.

🏡 Accommodation, Food & Transport
- 🛏️ Volunteers stay in double and triple rooms in Targoviste
- 🛒 Close access to supermarket, bus station, gym, swimming pool
- 💶 Monthly pocket money + food allowance
- 🚍 Public transportation available + bus to Bucharest
- 🚲 Volunteers can reach workplaces by bike or on foot
- 🚐 Transport provided by the organisation for longer distances
🧰 Training During the Activity
- 🧭 Pre-departure training by support & host organisation
- 🎓 Thematic training sessions at the start of the activity
- 🤝 Continuous support, mentoring & feedback
- 🗣️ Romanian language lessons included
👥 Participant Profile
We are looking for motivated young people eager for personal and professional growth within the Be You Association.
Ideal volunteers are:
- 🤝 Open-minded, proactive, and sociable
- 🌍 Willing to relocate to a small, peaceful town
- 🧠 Motivated to support youth activities and community development
- 🇬🇧 Able to communicate in English (minimum B2 level)
- 🇷🇴 Interested in learning the Romanian language
This project prioritises inclusion and welcomes volunteers facing socio-economic, cultural, geographical or other barriers.
