The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) — an official EU Agency based in Bilbao (Spain)with a liaison office in Brussels (Belgium) — is inviting recent graduates to apply for its 2026 paid traineeship programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the work of a European Union body, contribute to meaningful projects on occupational safety and health, and develop your professional skills in an international and multicultural environment.


📍 Traineeship Details

  • Reference: EUOSHA/TR/25/02
  • Locations: Bilbao (Spain) 🇪🇸 & Brussels (Belgium) 🇧🇪
  • Start Date: March–April 2026 (Bilbao) / March or September 2026 (Brussels)
  • Duration: 6 months (renewable for up to 12 months total)

  • Type: Full-time paid traineeship

  • Travel reimbursement: Return journey to/from traineeship location if residing 50+ km away

🎯 Eligibility Criteria

To apply, candidates must:

  • Be a national of an EU Member State or EEA country (Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein).
  • Have completed at least three years of university education (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
  • Have a very good command of at least two EU official languages, one of which must be English.
  • Be at the start of their professional career with no prior EU-OSHA traineeship experience.
  • Be able to provide proof of nationality, degree, health insurance, and a clean police record before starting.
