Coordinated by No Borders, this vibrant youth center in Milan, Italy 🇮🇹 supports young people aged 11–25 from disadvantaged and multicultural neighborhoods. It offers a safe, inclusive, and dynamic space where creativity and community meet.
💡 About the Project
As a volunteer, you will support teenagers through fun, educational, and social activities using non-formal education and learning-by-doing:
- 🎨 Creative workshops on arts, culture, and human rights
- ⚽ Sports and friendly matches that build teamwork and confidence
- 📚 After-school tutoring and homework help
- 🌍 Intercultural events, language tandems, and community markets
- 💬 Promoting European opportunities & assisting with social media content
Volunteers are encouraged to show initiative, empathy, and openness while collaborating closely with educators.
🏡 Accommodation, Food & Transport
- 🏠 Shared flat in Milan, double rooms (same gender), shared bathrooms, cozy kitchen
- 🍝 Lunch provided on activity days at the youth center
- 💶 €6/day pocket money + €110/month food allowance
- 🚇 Monthly public transport pass included
- ✈️ Travel costs reimbursed according to European Commission rules
🧭 Training & Support
- 📚 On-Arrival Training by the Italian National Agency
- 🧑🏫 Additional orientation and continuous mentoring by the coordinating organisation
👤 Participant Profile
We’re seeking enthusiastic volunteers who:
- 🤝 Enjoy working with teenagers and building trust
- 🎭 Like arts, sports, games, and creative expression
- 🕒 Have good time-management and teamwork skills
- 💬 Are patient, proactive, and keen to learn Italian
- 🌍 Are curious about Italian culture and local community life
- 🗣️ Basic Italian is a plus
