This project offers a life-changing volunteering experience for young adults (16–30) who are not currently engaged in education or training. Through creative and social workshops, volunteers help participants develop new skills, self-confidence, and independence.

💡 About the Project

The SNJ workshop promotes sustainability, creativity, and social inclusion. Volunteers support the team in a variety of hands-on activities, including:
🧵 Sewing and textile recycling – giving donated materials a second life
🍳 Cooking workshops – preparing and sharing meals together
🎨 Supporting two professional designers in craft projects
💬 Engaging with participants in daily activities and creative sessions
📸 Updating social media (especially Instagram) with project highlights

An experienced social worker supports both participants and volunteers in building motivation and setting goals for education or future employment.

🏡 Accommodation, Food & Transport

🏠 Volunteers stay in shared accommodation with other international volunteers and local students.
🛏️ Private bedrooms, shared bathrooms and kitchens (fully equipped).
🍽️ Volunteers cook together during the week in the atelier; dietary preferences are respected.
💶 A monthly allowance and food reimbursement are provided.
🚲 Access to bicycles and shared cars.
🚆 All public transport in Luxembourg is free!

🧭 Training & Learning Opportunities

📚 Volunteers gain hands-on experience in social work, especially with NEET youth (Not in Education, Employment, or Training).
🪡 Learn sewing, textile finishing, and cooking skills.
🗣️ Take language courses in French, German, or Luxembourgish.
🌍 Participate in SNJ-organized activities, networking events, and cultural trips.

👤 Participant Profile

We’re looking for a motivated and open-minded volunteer who:
🤝 Has experience or interest in social work or non-formal education
🧵 Is comfortable with sewing or creative design (preferred)
💻 Has basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud)
📸 Enjoys managing social media, especially Instagram
💬 Speaks German for daily activities (basic English or French is a plus)
⚽ Is open to joining group and sports activities
