✨ About the Project

Tokenism in Youth Work aims to explore the concept of tokenism — its forms, manifestations, and impact on youth participation. This training equips participants with the knowledge, strategies, and tools to ensure meaningful, inclusive, and empowering youth involvement. 🌍💡

Through non-formal education methods and experiential learning, participants will:

• Understand tokenism and its consequences 🧩
• Explore frameworks such as the participation ladder, co-creation, and inclusive youth practices 📚
• Recognize and address power imbalances, privilege, and representation issues in youth work ⚖️
• Develop strategies and local action plans for inclusive youth participation 🗣️

📚 Learning Objectives

1. Explore tokenism in youth work and its impact.
2. Learn tools and frameworks for meaningful participation (participation ladder, co-creation, inclusive practices).
3. Strengthen competences to recognize and address privilege, power, and representation issues.
4. Plan inclusive, local-level activities that empower all young people.

🏠 Accommodation & Venue

Participants will stay at JH International (Potsdamer Platz area, Berlin):

• Shared 3–4 bed rooms with bunk beds 🛏️
• Shared bathrooms, free Wi-Fi 🌐
• Bed sheets provided (bring your own towels)
• Easy access to public transport 🚋

Meals and coffee breaks will be fully covered.

🛫 Travel & Costs

• Arrival: 31 October 2025, 17:00–19:00 (welcome dinner served 19:00–20:00).
• Departure: 5 November 2025, after breakfast.
• The project is fully funded by Erasmus+: travel reimbursement, accommodation, and meals included.
