🎯 Why This Training?
Youth workers across Europe are witnessing how aesthetic pressure—fueled by unrealistic beauty standards and digital comparison—negatively impacts young people's mental health, self-esteem, and social well-being. This training aims to fight back through intersectional education, emotional reflection, and empowerment tools.
💡 Training Objectives
- Understand aesthetic pressure and its cultural/social roots
- Reflect on its impact on identity, mental health, and inclusion
- Develop skills to create safer and braver spaces
- Gain methods to address issues like self-esteem, body image, and self-perception
- Learn how to engage youth in conscious reflection
💬 What is Aesthetic Pressure?
It's the social expectation—amplified by media and social platforms—to conform to idealized, often unattainable, beauty standards. Its effects?
🌀 Low self-worth, comparison, mental distress, consumerism, and exclusion.
