Activity Description: Lebenshof gGmbH is on a mission to empower young people with fewer opportunities to take control of their lives and build a future with prospects. They offer a unique combination of school and practical training known as “Produktionsschule.” As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in this educational work. Your tasks will include supporting and guiding young people in various workshops (pottery, woodworking, gardening, domestic economy), assisting in monthly training sessions for youths, providing personal support to adolescents with learning difficulties in mathematics and English, participating in intercultural meetings and projects, contributing to sustainability initiatives such as urban gardening, and engaging in short-term projects with refugees. You will also assist with sales in the project’s store.

Training During the Activity:

• German language course.
• Intercultural training.

Participant Profile:

• High levels of sensitivity, patience, and a sense of responsibility to work with socially disadvantaged youngsters.
• Empathy and a genuine interest in adolescents.
• Craftsmanship skills for the workshops are beneficial.
• Ability to work in a team, friendliness, independence, and open-mindedness for Christian values.
• Basic knowledge of German is an advantage.

Activity Dates: A 52-week volunteering opportunity from August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025.
