OneWay: Seminar on Youth Inclusion is an Erasmus+ seminar for youth workers aged 18+, taking place in Predeal, Braศov County (Romania), from 19 to 27 November 2026. Meals, accommodation and activity costs are covered 100%, and travel is reimbursed up to a fixed budget per country. At Youth Works Hub, we went through the full infopack so you know exactly what this seminar involves.
What Is OneWay: Seminar on Youth Inclusion?
OneWay is an Erasmus+ seminar for people who work with young people with fewer opportunities and want to make their daily work more inclusive. It brings together youth workers from different countries for an international learning experience in a mountain town in central Romania.
The format follows the Erasmus+ model of a seminar for youth workers: participants learn from each other, share real practice and leave with concrete ideas for their own communities.
The Main Goal of the Project
The main goal of OneWay is to strengthen the capacity of youth workers to foster the social inclusion, active participation and empowerment of young people. It does this through three channels:
๐งฉ Inclusive youth work practices
๐ Intercultural learning
๐ค International cooperation
Who Organises the Seminar: A4ACTION
The project is implemented by A4ACTION, the Association for Initiatives and Continuous Development, an organisation founded in October 2012. Its work is focused on young people, youth workers and educators.
๐ฏ Mission: to generate continuous development for young people and communities through non-formal learning activities, volunteering and civic involvement.
๐ญ Vision: to provide all young people with space to reach their full potential through learning, and with opportunities to actively contribute to the development of the community they belong to.
Funding: Erasmus+ Youth Accreditation 2021-2027
OneWay is funded through Erasmus+, Youth field Accreditation 2021-2027, and is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union. It is implemented as part of A4ACTION's Erasmus+ accreditation in the youth field.
Partner Organisations
A4ACTION runs the seminar together with the following partners:
๐ฎ๐น JOINT (Italy)
๐ Hermes Academy (Italy)
๐ฑ๐ป DGT Latvia (Latvia)
๐ซ๐ท Youth ID (France)
๐ช๐ธ Bungai Asociacion (Spain)
๐ญ๐บ Fiatalok Egysรฉgben Egyesรผlet, Youth Together Association (Hungary)
๐ฑ๐น TAVO (Lithuania)
๐ต๐น FAJUB (Portugal)
Learning Objectives: What You Will Be Able to Do
By the end of the seminar, participants will be able to:
๐ Understand exclusion: name the main barriers young people with fewer opportunities face (economic, social, geographical, educational, cultural, health, disability) and compare how these show up in their own countries.
๐ Learn from each other: present a good practice from their own work and adapt at least one practice from another country to their local context.
๐ ๏ธ Design inclusive activities: create and test with peers a non-formal education activity that is accessible, participatory and adapted to young people with fewer opportunities.
๐ช Reflect on their own practice: recognise their own assumptions and habits that can lead to exclusion, and choose concrete changes for their daily work.
๐ Connect and cooperate: build contacts with youth workers, experts and stakeholders, including through the public conference, and develop at least one follow-up idea, such as a local action, a dissemination activity or a future project.
Seminar Dates and Daily Timings
The seminar takes place between 19 and 27 November 2026. The first and last days are travel days.
๐ฌ Arrival day: check-in starts at 15:00.
๐ซ Departure day: plan your trip to leave before 11:00.
๐ Detailed programme: sent to selected participants by 6 November 2026.
Selected groups will be contacted before the mobility about information, activities or presentations they need to prepare in advance.
The International Conference on Youth Inclusion (25 November 2026)
On 25 November 2026, as part of the seminar, A4ACTION hosts an international conference on youth inclusion together with its partners. The conference also welcomes guests from outside the partner organisations: youth workers, experts, representatives of local institutions and other organisations working with young people.
It is a chance to share what is learned during the seminar with a wider audience, to show how inclusion works in practice in different countries and to meet people who can become future partners. The conference is held in English, with translation into Romanian for local guests.
Each partner organisation chooses one role: being part of the panel or facilitating a workshop. Participants discuss with their sending organisation which role they will take.
Joining the Open Panel Discussion
The panel is an open discussion. A few chairs are placed at the front of the room, and anyone who wants to join the panel can take a seat and enter the conversation.
One of the A4ACTION facilitators moderates the discussion around a few questions about inclusion in practice:
๐ง What barriers young people face in our communities
โ What works in our daily work
๐ง What still needs to change
You do not need to prepare a speech. Bring your experience, your examples and your questions.
Facilitating a Workshop at the Conference
Participants can also facilitate workshops for the conference guests. Each workshop presents a method or tool for inclusion that you already use in your work with young people: something that works for you and that others can learn from and use.
If your organisation chooses this role, your national group prepares one workshop of around 45 minutes. Workshops run in two rounds, in different rooms at the same time, so guests can choose the ones that interest them most. When preparing it, think about:
๐งฐ The method or tool: what it is and which young people it is for
๐ง The barrier: what kind of exclusion or barrier it helps with
๐ช The steps: how it works, step by step
๐ฆ The materials: what you need to run it
๐ The transfer: how others can adapt it to their own context
Before the seminar, each group sends a short workshop description (title, aim, short description, materials needed); the infopack sets 3 November 2026 for this. During the seminar you have time to prepare and test your workshop with the other participants, with support from the facilitators. You do not need to be an experienced trainer: the organisers are interested in real practice, not perfect presentations.
Who Can Apply
The mobility brings together 25 youth workers, all over the age of 18, from 9 countries. Each partner organisation sends a group of 1โ3 participants. You can apply if you are:

๐ฑ Less experienced but motivated to learn and improve your skills, to better support the inclusion of the young people you work with
If you want to understand this profile better, see our guide to the role of youth workers in Erasmus+ projects.

How to Prepare Before the Seminar
To get the most out of the seminar, prepare a few things before you come:
๐๏ธ Your local reality: think about the main barriers the young people you work with face (economic, social, geographical, educational, cultural, health, disability) and how your organisation responds to them.
๐๏ธ Your conference role: decide with your sending organisation whether you will join the panel or facilitate a workshop, and let the organisers know.
๐ Your travel: send your travel plan to the organisers before buying any tickets.
๐ธ Your stories and materials: if you have photos, short videos or stories from your work with young people that show a good practice, bring them. They can become part of the toolkit and the multimedia collection. Make sure the people who appear in them agree to share them.
Youthpass Certificate
All participants receive a Youthpass certificate, the European tool for recognising learning in Erasmus+ youth projects. There is daily reflection time during the seminar to help you notice what you are learning and describe it in your Youthpass.
After the Seminar: A Toolkit and a Collection of Inspiring Practices
OneWay does not end in Predeal. After the seminar, A4ACTION and the partner organisations will turn what is shared and created together into two free resources for youth workers:
๐งญ An interactive toolkit: methods, tools and step-by-step tips for working with young people with fewer opportunities, based on the practices tested during the seminar.
๐ฌ A multimedia collection of inspiring practices: short videos, audio stories and photos showing real examples of work with young people.
Your practices, workshops and stories are the base of these resources. During the seminar, some sessions and the conference workshops will be documented (photos, short videos, short interviews), always with your consent. After the seminar, your sending organisation receives more details on how you can contribute and how the resources will be shared.
Venue: Hotel Draga Maria in Predeal
The seminar takes place at Hotel Draga Maria in Predeal, Braศov County, about 40 km from the city of Braศov.
๐๏ธ Rooms: rooms of two, three or four people, shared by participants of the same gender. Each room has a private bathroom with a bath or shower, a hairdryer and towels.
๐ฝ๏ธ Meals: provided at the hotel restaurant. Dietary requirements can be catered for if you tell the organisers before the mobility.
๐ถ Internet: free wireless internet in the hotel rooms.
โฟ Accessibility: if you have accessibility or special needs (for example reduced mobility, hearing or visual impairment), tell the organisers in the application form or by email so everything can be prepared in advance. You only need to share what you feel comfortable sharing.
How to Get to Predeal
The recommended route from the airport to the venue is:
โ๏ธ Train from Bucharest Henri Coandฤ International Airport to Bucharest Gara de Nord, the main train station in Bucharest
๐ Train from Gara de Nord to Predeal
๐ Taxi from Predeal train station to the hotel
Train timetables and tickets are available online. Local taxis only accept cash in RON, so you will need cash to get to and from the hotel. The shuttle bus service from the airport to Predeal will NOT be reimbursed, and the organisers strongly advise against using it due to previous issues with these transport companies.
What to Pack for a Cold Mountain Town
๐ Good attitude, optimism and willingness to cooperate
๐ฉบ Medication you need, your European Health Insurance Card or medical documents for treatment in Romania
๐งฅ Warm clothes: comfortable, windproof and waterproof clothing and mountain boots for outdoor activities.
