📖 PROJECT OVERVIEW

Are you passionate about books, community, and culture? Join the City Public Library in Gdynia, a vibrant social and cultural hub offering activities far beyond lending books. From kids’ workshops to intercultural events, you’ll help create a welcoming and dynamic space for all ages.

Volunteers are key players in keeping the library exciting and engaging — not just a place for silence, but for action and exchange!

💼 TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

You’ll work at Biblioteka Śródmieście, supporting staff with:
🎨 Organizing workshops and events for children, youth & adults
📚 Helping with book-related tasks: labeling, shelving, creating displays
🗣️ Leading weekly English conversation clubs
🌍 Hosting cultural presentations about your country (2+ times during the project)
📀 Working with various media (books, CDs, games, etc.)
🧹 Supporting general upkeep of spaces and materials

🏡 WHAT’S PROVIDED

✔️ Accommodation: Shared flat with max. 3 people per room
✔️ Monthly Ticket: Free public transport in Gdynia
✔️ Pocket & Food Money: Provided monthly in line with ESC rules
✔️ Insurance: ESC health insurance
✔️ Training: On-arrival & Mid-term (by the National Agency), plus local training
