At Youth Works Hub, we read all 15 of these European Solidarity Corps listings in full, and every one of them is a fully funded volunteering placement starting in 2026 or 2027. The placements are in nine countries, from Belgium, Spain and Finland to Lithuania, Latvia and Greece, and four of them have no application deadline. The rest close between 5 October and 2 November 2026. The European Solidarity Corps is for 18 to 30 year olds, and the Christmas volunteering team in Rīga is only for 18 to 25 year olds. Durations run from a 14-day team project to a full year in Belgium, Greece or Finland.
Several placements stand out. EKOenergy in Helsinki, which has hosted 107 European Solidarity Corps volunteers since 2012, is looking for three more volunteers for 2027. In Rīga, Prepare the Joy is a 14-day ESC volunteering team that plans Christmas events for 300 to 400 children from orphanages and disadvantaged families. Kaunas L'Arche Community, where people with intellectual disabilities and those who support them build relationships based on friendship and shared life, offers an eight-week placement with €280 a month for food and pocket money. In Santa Eulalia del Río, Spain, three placements support swimming, kayaking and sailing courses, including courses for people with disabilities. In Marche-en-Famenne, Belgium, two year-long placements focus on inclusive youth activities and on workshops with people with disabilities. In Opole, Poland, Semper Avanti Opole has an urgent call for a volunteer at a bilingual Polish-German Montessori school, with a preferred arrival between 12 and 14 October.
Eligibility is narrow on several placements in this batch. The three water sports placements in Spain are open only to applicants from Spain, the two vocational school placements in La Loupe, France, only to Denmark, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden, and the Rīga team to 15 countries. EKOenergy states that its vacancy is only for EU candidates, and A4ACTION in Romania asks for residence in an EU country. The Spanish placements select volunteers from those registered on the ESC Portal, so it is worth checking which countries can take part in the ESC and making sure you register on the ESC Portal before you apply.
Funding
Every placement in this batch runs under the European Solidarity Corps, where the programme funds accommodation, food or a food allowance, pocket money, insurance and travel within the ESC distance bands. According to Youth Works Hub's review of the 15 listings, the stated amounts vary by host:

✈️ EKOenergy in Helsinki pays for travel to and from Finland itself.
The two Belgian listings state that participation is free of charge except for an exceptional contribution to travel costs. Four placements have no application deadline, two close on 5 October, one on 6 October, five on 15 October, two on 1 November and one on 2 November.

1. 🇵🇱 ESC Volunteering in Poland 🧸 Intercultural Education at a Municipal Kindergarten 🎨

Przedszkole Miejskie no. 4 is one of three municipal kindergartens in Pułtusk, a town of 19,000 in northern Masovia about 60 km north of Warsaw, and it cares for and educates children aged 3 to 6. The kindergarten day includes didactic and outdoor activities, free play, excursions, events, art activities, meals and self-service activities, and volunteers assist the teachers. There is also space for their own workshops, presentations and classes introducing their culture and language, and volunteers teach foreign languages, mostly English, informally through games and exercises. The placement lasts 44 weeks between 15 October 2026 and 22 August 2027, with a flexible start date and hosting possible from the beginning of October 2026. Volunteers share a flat with three other volunteers of the same gender, receive €150 a month for food and €180 a month in pocket money, have international travel reimbursed up to €211, €309 or €395 depending on distance, and get an online language course. Prior experience in a kindergarten, teaching, volunteering with children or leading children's camps is part of the profile.
2. 🇱🇹 ESC Volunteering in Lithuania 😊 Supporting Children and Young People With Disabilities 💛

A centre for children and young people with disabilities in Kaunas is looking for volunteers to join its daily activities through sports, arts, music, games and creative work, helping to create a fun, safe and inclusive environment. Volunteers act as a friend, supporter and positive role model and communicate in English, Lithuanian or non-verbal ways. Once they know the centre, they have the chance to lead a weekly group activity based on their own interests and talents. The placement lasts 8 weeks between 5 October and 30 November 2026, with a private room in a shared flat with other international volunteers, monthly food and pocket money, a public transport card, travel reimbursement and optional Lithuanian classes. No previous experience is required, and applicants are asked to send their CV in English.
3. 🇷🇴 ESC Volunteering in Romania 🧒 After School Activities and Youth Center Workshops 📚

A4ACTION hosts volunteers in Snagov, Romania, from 19 October 2026 to 19 April 2027 to run non-formal activities in its After School programme for children aged 7 to 10, such as team building, personal development, arts and crafts, reading and English lessons. Volunteers also run workshops in local primary, middle and high schools on culture, soft skills, civic engagement and eco-friendly practices. They design activity plans, handle administrative tasks and help develop the A4ACTION Virtual Youth Center. Shared accommodation with Wi-Fi, pocket money and food money in line with ESC guidelines, travel reimbursement by distance band and Henner insurance are provided, along with training in non-formal education, facilitation and first aid. Applicants should be 18 to 30 with good English and must be resident in an EU country.
4. 🇱🇹 ESC Volunteering in Lithuania 🕊️ Community Life With People With Intellectual Disabilities 🤲

Kaunas L'Arche Community is a faith-inspired community where people with intellectual disabilities and those who support them build relationships based on friendship, mutual respect and shared life. Its services include a living home, a day centre, a social workshop and a supported decision-making department. The placement lasts 8 weeks between 5 October and 30 November 2026, with a private room in a shared apartment, a monthly public transport pass and €280 a month for food and pocket money. Volunteers also get monthly group meetings, monthly one-to-one meetings with a mentor, on-arrival and mid-term training and online language learning. The community is looking for people with a genuine interest in building relationships, openness to people with different abilities and to community life, and patience and responsibility, or simply the willingness to develop them.
5. 🇧🇪 ESC Volunteering in Belgium 🤝 Inclusive Youth Activities and Active Citizenship 🌈

The Association des Compagnons Bâtisseurs (CBB) is a non-profit youth organisation that runs workcamps, youth exchanges, long-term volunteering, inclusive projects with people with disabilities, a community garden and intercultural activities. The volunteer takes part in these activities from preparation to evaluation, mainly facilitating the participation of diverse audiences with CBB leaders and volunteers. The volunteer also joins residential activities around Belgium and organises weekly collective activities in Marche-en-Famenne. The placement runs from 1 February 2027 to 31 January 2028, with a private room in a shared house in the city centre with six other ESC volunteers, a monthly food allowance and pocket money. On-arrival and mid-term seminars are run by the French-speaking National Agency of Belgium. The main activities are organised in French, so volunteers should be highly motivated to communicate in it.
6. 🇧🇪 ESC Volunteering in Belgium 🎨 Creative Workshops With People With Disabilities 🌻

ANDAGE is a non-profit organisation in Marche-en-Famenne that develops projects for adults and children with physical, mental or multiple disabilities and their families, with workshops in carpentry, handcraft, gardening, music and sport. It also runs the Alter Boutique, a swap shop that displays exhibitions by local artists. The volunteer supports the team in new projects, joins and proposes workshops such as art, cooking and gardening, helps with logistics and group life at the community house Le Cerisier and occasionally helps in the swap shop, with weekly planning meetings and a tutor. The placement runs from 1 February 2027 to 31 January 2028, with a private room in a shared house in the city centre with six other ESC volunteers, a monthly food allowance and pocket money. Volunteers are also trained at the start on how to behave with the beneficiaries. 7. 🇵🇱 ESC Volunteering in Poland 🧒 Child Centred Montessori Education at a Bilingual School 📚

Semper Avanti Opole places a volunteer at Pro Liberis Silesiae, a bilingual Polish-German school and kindergarten using the Montessori approach, for 10 to 12 months. The volunteer supports lessons and educational activities, works with individual children and small groups, helps prepare materials and joins projects, events and trips, for about six hours a day, five days a week. Volunteers share a double room in Opole and receive 550 PLN a month for food and €6 a day in pocket money. Transport to the school is provided or covered, travel is reimbursed by distance band and ESC insurance is provided. German is a strong advantage but not required. This is an urgent call with a preferred arrival date of 12 to 14 October 2026, and candidates from outside the EU or Schengen Area who can enter Poland without a visa are prioritised.

9. 🇱🇻 ESC Volunteering in Latvia 🎄 Preparing Inclusive Christmas Events for Children 🎁

Prepare the Joy is a 14-day volunteering team in Rīga, Latvia, from 15 to 29 November 2026, where 8 young people, 4 from Latvia and 4 from abroad, plan inclusive Christmas events for children from orphanages and disadvantaged families. The team contacts partners, prepares invitations, develops the event concept and creates decorations for a Christmas Marathon that aims to reach 300 to 400 children. Some of the Latvian volunteers took part in these events as children. Accommodation for volunteers from abroad is organised by the host, food expenses are covered and travel is reimbursed under the distance calculator rules. A vocational school in La Loupe, two hours from Paris, hosts a volunteer to accompany underprivileged young people in their school life, training, hobbies and integration. The volunteer assists teachers in French and English language classes, helps prepare pupils for Erasmus VET mobility or school travel, co-creates activities with young people, supports tutoring and small-group learning, and sets up educational, sports or cultural projects. The volunteer spends around 18 to 20 hours in class, and the rest of the time is used to prepare activities and learn French. The placement lasts 28 weeks between 16 November 2026 and 28 May 2027, with a single bedroom in an on-site guest house shared with the other European volunteer and an international intern. Volunteers have lunch at the school restaurant, receive money for other meals, and get a tablet and two National Agency seminars. Volunteers are expected to speak only English in front of the students and should speak English very well, while basic French is welcome but not required and a driving licence is preferred. 14. 🇫🇮 ESC Volunteering in Finland ⚡ Promoting Renewable Energy and Climate Action Outreach 🌱

EKOenergy is a global non-profit ecolabel for sustainable renewable energy, hosted by the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation in Helsinki. It has hosted 107 long-term European Solidarity Corps volunteers since 2012 and is now looking for 3 more for 2027. The volunteers read, contact energy consumers, run campaigns and support EKOenergy's general work, including administrative tasks, mostly from the office and on a computer, from 4 January to 31 December 2027. Each volunteer gets a private room in a shared apartment on the same street as the other volunteers, ESC pocket money, a monthly allowance for food and local transport, ESC health insurance and travel to and from Finland paid by the host. The listing states that the vacancy is only for candidates from the EU, with a focus on Germany, France, Spain and Portugal, and the work requires concentration, precision and a lot of reading and writing.
15. 🇫🇷 ESC Volunteering in France 🎓 Supporting Underprivileged Youth at a Vocational School 🤝

A vocational school in La Loupe, two hours from Paris, is looking for a volunteer to accompany underprivileged young people in their school life, training, hobbies and integration. The tasks include assisting in French and English language classes, supporting tutoring and small-group learning, and building educational, sports or cultural projects with the school teams. The placement lasts 28 weeks between 16 November 2026 and 28 May 2027, with around 18 to 20 hours in class and the rest of the time for preparing activities and learning French, plus a tablet and online French courses on the OLS platform. Volunteers live in the on-site guest house, have lunch at the school restaurant and receive money for other meals. The host says the site is easily reached by train or bus, a bike may be available, and coming with your own vehicle gives more independence. Only applicants from Denmark, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden can apply.
If you want to work with children, look at the kindergarten in Pułtusk, the After School programme in Snagov, the Montessori school in Opole and the centre for children with disabilities in Kaunas. For inclusion and community life, Kaunas L'Arche Community, ANDAGE and CBB in Marche-en-Famenne and the cultural association in Aigialeia each offer a different setting. The three water sports placements in Santa Eulalia del Río are for people who love sport and the natural environment, while EKOenergy in Helsinki suits someone interested in climate action and precise office work. Pocket money is stated as €180 a month in Pułtusk, €6 a day in Opole and €7 a day in Aigialeia, and how much pocket money ESC volunteers receive depends on the official rate for each host country.
Four placements, in Pułtusk, Kaunas and Snagov, have no application deadline. The two Belgian placements close on 5 October and the Opole school on 6 October, while Rīga, Aigialeia and the three Spanish placements close on 15 October. EKOenergy and one La Loupe placement close on 1 November, and the other La Loupe placement closes on 2 November. Check the eligible countries on each listing first, since several are open to only one or a handful of countries, and avoid the most common ESC application mistakes when you prepare your application.
