Description

Tempo per il Barrio is a vibrant youth center in Milan supporting young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods. 💪 As a volunteer, you’ll engage with youngsters—many from immigrant backgrounds—through fun, creative, and educational activities. 🎨⚽🎶 Your role may include: ✨ After-school support and homework help 🎭 Assisting in workshops on arts, culture, and human rights 🏃 Supporting sports activities and friendly matches 🌍 Helping with intercultural events, language tandems, and free markets 💬 Sharing European opportunities and creating social media content We’re looking for sporty, empathetic, and open-minded volunteers who enjoy non-formal education (learning by doing!). 💡 🗣️ Bonus: Basic Italian is a big plus!

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

You’ll stay in a shared flat in Milan, with double rooms (shared with another volunteer of the same gender), shared bathrooms, and a cozy eat-in kitchen. 🍽️ 💶 You’ll receive: €6 pocket money per day €110 per month for food, plus lunch provided on activity days at the Youth Center 🍝 A monthly public transport pass 🚇 Travel costs refunded according to the European Commission’s rules ✈️

Training during the activity

Volunteers will participate in various trainings provided by ESC programme.

Ready to work with teenagers, young people. Has a great love to socialization, communication, can easily bond with young people and give them support. You should be someone who: 🤝 Loves socializing, communicating, and building connections with youth ⚽ Enjoys sports and workouts — in any weather! 🎨 Is open to arts, games, and creative activities 👥 Works well in a team and collaborates with educators 💡 Is patient, creative, positive, and proactive 🕒 Has good time-management and organizational skills 🌍 Is motivated to learn and speak Italian and connect with locals
